Title: Castle Stage refurb
Post by: Kristof on July 31, 2006, 04:11:16 PM
Notice the new wooden floor on the stage.  It doesn't look very practical to dance on...

True, it looks like there's not going to be any dancing on there for a while...

15th Anniversary character area?  Or maybe another food location and some new tables and chairs?  That'd be nice actually... If we forget the 1,000 odd seats facing the stage.

No that would mean the same old Princesses coming back to have a photo taken with people etc.  Seems rather sad to me, I always liked the stage as a show area was nice in the summer.

Ow man, I'm getting sick of those stupid Disney Princess. There used to be a time when not every Disney character used to be an idol for girls and when the characters weren't the main issue of the parks. So sad. Nowadays it's all has to be making money. Well, hopefully this Castle Stage change will bring some positive news too; a nicely designed photolocation. Let's make the best out of it... but for some reason I guess they do. The latest additions to the parks (food stands, signs, photolocations, graphics etc.) all seem to be done in a tasteful way.  :)

By the way; I was thinking... wouldn't it be a nice idea to bring back streetmosphere like in the early years. The singing hairdressers in Main Street, the strange Verne-like creatures in Discoveryland and the robbery in Frontierland for example. Although those characters won't have the same impact as the Disney characters for example, EuroDisney doesn't have to pay royalties on them right? Like the Pumpkinmen, Pink Witches and Cinefolies they aren't real Disney characters...

Since I don't pose with characters...
I certainly agree that bringing back some real artist (musicians, singers, actors playing pirates in Adventuralnd, cowboys in Frontierland,...) is a great idea. They were there in the first year of the park, but rapidly vanished.

Yes, I agree, it would be so much better, but...  it all comes to one thing: money  :(
