Title: Disney Movie Rewards
Post by: Anthony on November 27, 2009, 06:11:18 PM
Disney Movie Rewards just finally launched in the UK with the release of Snow White.

Enter codes from inserts in DVDs/Blu-Rays and collect points to spend on everything from pointless tat to actual films!

Website: http://www.disneymovierewards.co.uk (http://www.disneymovierewards.co.uk)

Have you joined yet? And how many points do you have so far?

If you sign up with an existing Disney account you get 50 points, plus another 50 for doing the very quick survey. They should soon add up for us with all the good-looking films coming in 2010...

I can see myself doing the same, collecting up the films I'd never normally spend money on.

Although I did already buy Jungle Book 2 for some reason, and it's not that bad at all...  8-[

I don't know if anyone else has checked out the available films recently, but the website doesn't seem to be replacing them once they're sold out. At the start there loads to choose from and loads more. But at the minute its slim pickings. Plus if you happen to check out the US version (which is all together more flashy to start with) there are loads of things to spend your points on.

Thanks for sharing this link for 'Disney Movie Rewards' Anthony..  :D

I've just joined and got 100 points through registering and doing the survey, in addition another 300 points on eligible DVD's I already had, plus 100 points through a competition on the Adsa Website. That's 500 points up to now..  :D/

I still need G-Force and UP on DVD, so that will be another 200, so that should make 700.. :D/  :D/

Anyone waiting to spend points - a new batch of DVDs and blu-rays have finally been added!

Ordered my first reward - Chicken Little on blu-ray, just to complete the collection. I wasn't going to pay £9.99! I've still got 850 points, shame Meet the Robinsons isn't there... Maybe I could get The Wild just to burn it?

By the way, did anyone who followed the "Double Points" promo for Alice in Wonderland (if you registered the code within the first week) actually get given the 150 points for the disc plus 300 extra points? So actually 450 points in total? I'm not complaining. ;)

^I was not given 450 points for Alice. Darn. You lucky so and so :P

I currently have 1000 points. I actually like the look of the Treasure Planet bag but not sure if I should go for it or not. If I don't like it when I get it it will be a bit of a waste of 900 points. Or should I just go for Chicken Little blu-ray as I can't be bothered to actually buy it lol.

I too liked the treasure planet bag thing. (I don't understand why this cartoon isn't more popular)
Or there was a sign card of the original snow white.
Or Ratatouille picnic set.

Does anyone really cash in early to get 6 stickers?

If anyone has bought a disc with a DisneyFile Digital Copy, enter the unlock code into Disney Movie Rewards and you get another 150 points on top of the actual 150 for the blu-ray! Crazy!

They've also just announced via email that Disney games will also offer points, starting with Toy Story 3.

[Edit] I didn't spot this reward before - The Art of The Princess & the Frog book! http://www.disneymovierewards.co.uk/rew ... -frog-book (http://www.disneymovierewards.co.uk/rewards/art-of-princess-and-the-frog-book%22%20onclick=%22window.open(this.href);return%20false;) Just the one I was missing. 950 points isn't bad considering it costs £18.

I love Disney rewards, I wish I had a Blu ray player though as I could get more points with the DVDs.

I know I've complained about this before but OMG there's noting to spend my points on. I've got 1250 and nothing to do with them (no I am not in a generour, donating mood  :P )
The Princess and the Frog artbook was fantastic, but there's nothing of that calibre now. The only thing I might be tempted to get is National treasure 2. I didn't particulary like the film and wasting 600 of my precious points to get it when I can probably get it in CEX for £2.50 seems a waste.
I would even spend then on pins if I had the option, and I dont even collect them.

And serioulsy, 12000 for the Luxo Lamp. If you only bought Blurays that's 12000/150 = 80 films.

After registering my Fantasia double pack and Beauty and the Beast Blu-Ray I have 950 points. I redeemed 500 points on the Cheshire magnet ages ago and it is AWESOME. Like you say though Pete's Dragon, there's nothing that I want now. Except for the Luxo Lamp, which I think is pretty much impossible to get.

Do the points ever become invalid?

Did the Fantasia double pack qualify for the double points promotion? I'm still wondering about that. They've not manually added mine for Fantasia yet.

I've got 800 points, multiply that by 10 and I could get a signed copy of Up!

Yip. Although since there weas no code for Fantasia 2000, I technically got 150 each for them, and 300 for Beauty and the Beast

Ohh very nice. I'll also have 1250 points rolling around then. The Camp Rock goody bag is almost mine!!!

Just noticed they're doing points on soundtrack CDs now too - 80 for Tron Legacy.

How it worked on mine was I got 150 points for registering the Fantasia double pack and 150 points for registering Beauty and the Beast. Then after I had done that, it told me that I'd be given an additional 300 points. :) Good times.

Can you register the same product twice? I know you can't enter the same code twice, but can you register the same thing with two different codes? Like if I got my own code for Toy Story 3 blu-ray, and a friend offered to give me theirs too.

No. I don't think you can even enter a bluray and a dvd code for the same movie. There was a loose code from an Alice in Wonderland dvd at work, so I tried to enter it, but because I had already entered the bluray one, it wouldn't sccept it.

However, you can enter the codes for computer games from different platforms

Yeah, I can also confirm that Pete's Dragon is correct, each code entry must be of a different film, different formats don't count even with a different code.. ;-)

Can anyone trade codes with me? I have an extra princess and the frog DVD code because I was given a code from a friend months ago but I have just bought the DVD. Most movie codes would do the majority of mine are from Mickey Mouse clubhouse DVDs.

And this one? Yes

I know you cant enter a different codes for the same film, but a friend gave me his code from the Tron Double Pack and I got 300 points for it. On top of the 150 points I got for the Tron Legacy Blu Ray. Sweet. Sadly the Art of Tangled has gone just as I finally got the points built up again. I knew I shouldn't have spent all those points on blu rays - I even got Haunted Mansion, just cause I could  :(
