I want to post a trip report buy my photos are taken with a 7mp camera and are too large to upload - how do I resolve this?
i use flickr for my photos taken with a 10mp camara and works fine :) but did subscribe for the serice to have more space etc
You can use Paint in order to resize them. Open each photo with paint, save it and then from lets say a size of 3.80MB, the picture is resized to something like 900KB or 1.50MB, quite acceptable in order to upload it. It is a hell of a work though. I am not aware of any other faster way, since I only use uploading services without being a subscriber.
Have you tried uploading them to a Picasa web album? You can upload them in their original size or reduce it if you want to use up less space.
upload them to a photobucket account. you can resize them automatically using their edit functions
i use photobucket too and choose large when editing and then they are just the right size
Do you have a facebook account, if so upload them to there, then right click on each photo, click properties and copy the address(url). now paste them into your trip report within [img][/img] tags
I would also recommend using Photobucket, very easy to use and relatively quick (even for a tech-numpty like me!). I only started using it to post my trip report but its useful for all different sites, worth getting.

Yes Photobucket! I have a 12MP and a 10MP camera and photobucket does all the resizing for me :D good job as im no good with things like that
