My friends brother works at DLRP and he said there is a secret tunnel from all the Lake disney hotels underground to backstage where the cast members hang out....
You get to it by the lifts in the Lake Disney hotels which go down an extra level than people think using a special card for characters, CM and VIP guests only!
They are all the same tunnel joining up which travels under disney village and through special security to beat the queues and then splits two seperate ways leading to both parks private CM only area!
It is all brightly lit and still has the same disney magic as the village, so you don't miss out!
Apparantely her brother has used it many a times, so i would like to know if any of you have used it?
Are you sure your friend's brother isn't pulling your leg a bit so to speak? I am 99% sure that there is no secret CM tunnel anywhere in Disneyland Paris. I think i heard somewhere there is one in the California resort so maybe that's where your friend's brother got this story from.
A top-secret tunnel full of Disney magic that can only be accessed by a a secret extra level using the elevators of the Lake Disney hotels, leading directly to highly exclusive VIP areas in both Parks where the Cast Members hang out?
Ha ha, that was a good one  Seriously, Jessie, he was having you on!!! :P
plus there is no such hotel as Lake Disney Hotel in DLP :-"
There is an underground tunnel system beneath MK at WDW for cast members but guests can't use it. However you can get a guided tour of certain parts of it - I'm not sure which parts though!
Hes taken my friend down there before though, and she doesn't lie. Apparantely you only know about it if you are quite high in the CM and celbrities staying at the hotels.
I don't think he was lying, pretty hard to make up!!
anyway thanks for the responses so far! :)
No offence or anything but i'm pretty sure she's pulling your leg. Unless photo evidence is provided then i don't believe a word of it i'm afraid.

Not at all, you never heard the rumour (lie) that Walt Disney was frozen in ice and stored under Pirates of the Caribbean? ;)
It's true.
The tunnel takes you to another dimension where you can visit Discovery Mountain and Disney-MGM Studios Europe.

WHAT DLPhas Discovery Mountian and MGM Studio's how come I did not know that?
now I am sad  :P
ill get a photo :) hopefully!!!
Ill ask her for one, im sure she does have one......
SHES NOT LYING.....well i hope shes not :(
hun your friend has made this up, if the people on the forum dont know about it, then it doest exist.
There are utilidoors (an underground network of corridors CM's use to get from one part of the park to the next without being seen by guests) at WDW but not Disneyland Paris, and even at WDW they are just plain corridoors with no "Disney magic" just water pipes.
Think about it, where do you put that magical card to tell the lift to go down an extra level?and like someone has already said, there is no "Lake Disney Hotel"

I am afraid you've been had !!! :( They probally knew you were a Disney fan and thought they would have a bit of a joke with you .I think after 15 years someone would have heard about this before, the ones in WDW are well known ,and there are lots of pics and videos around of it ;but nothing like this in Paris !!
As a former CM, I've got to say there is a certain amount of magic at the WDW utilidoors :D
If she lying, im not her friend. How could she do this to me?
And by Lake disney hotel i meant lake disney hotelS.....newport bay, sequia lodge and new york!! :)
AND the palce in the lift is on the wall somewhere :) you cant see it.

Shes having a joke with you, dont get so dramatic

I have taken the tour a few times and it always seems to take a different route but seeing the utilidoors is the best part of the tour its just amazing to see how everything is done ,see the laundry with all the costumes, hundreds of them .Its fun seeing about 20 Mickey heads on a shelf and seeing Snow White smoking a cigarette .Great fun and a must see.

Do you really get to see that much?? I would've thought they'd be really careful to try and 'protect the magic'!

This silly little childs game is really getting old now, given us all a good laugh though, thanks for sharing but enough is enough.
P.S has anyone heard the news that Disney are set to aquire land in Almeria, Spain to build a new Euro Disney. Yes thats right they are going to move Main Street and Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant brick by brick to Spain for its better year round weather after all it was the prefered location back in the planning stages. Maybe they will dig out those Lava Lagoon plans too  [/color]

Soo..... we still lack evidence and we're only going by the word of one person who either is playing a joke on you or has a very big imagination ;)
You should say to your friend that you won't believe her unless she shows you a picture of this "secret tunnel", then post it here ;)
But take it from us, the DLP fans that know about this place better than anyone, it doesn't exist ;)
I'm in a very winking mood this evening aren't i? ;)

Where did you see that???? I was a cast member at WDW and they are so strict on what people see. When training to be a character you have to "become" the character, and are simply getting overdressed when getting into costume. I cant see them showing rows of Mickey heads, and if you did see someone in costume smoking, that is a sackable offense.
They take every precaution in protecting the integrity of the characters. I know of a character that had a "fit" from the heat while on the parade, and still coudnt take off his head......

She sounds like a compulsive liar, and not a very good one.
She's probably found out you like DLP, and is making up wild stories so you'll keep being friends with her. I used to know kids like that at school.
Did the tone in this thread really have to get quite so harsh?
Yes, disneyloverjessie may well have been mislead, but I think we've gone a bit off topic now. After all, it's hardly her fault she's been lied to, and if she's coming here to ask the percieved experts, then that isn't really a problem, is it?

I thought it was fairly obvious that was a typo, and that she was referring to the hotels around Lake Disney?

Was this really called for? This forum seems to be getting rather confrontational lately...
Out of interest, do we 100% know that no such tunnel exists, then? If we do, how do we know? Again, I'm not doubting you guys' knowledge, I was just wondering what peoples sources are for such a tunnel not existing.
I agree with the above post.
Technically, we don't know for certain if there is a secret tunnel because nobody on this forum knows everything about Disneyland Paris.
I doubt that there is a secret tunnel, but there could be.
I also agree with the above 2 posts.
I had noticed it was getting a little harsh, for a potential scoop of info.

Agree!
Thankyou to the above posts,
I had been told about it and i wanted to know if it was real........isnt that what most of the topics are about?
And yes it may be real, noone knows for sure :)
Thinking about this realistically...
A tunnel from Lake Disney to the parks would be ridiculously expensive. If they didn't even think to build a tunnel from the station over to the backstage gate on the other side of Fantasia Gardens behind Front Lot (where I'd actually really like to see one, the CMs crossing the path of guests there is getting quite bad as the parks grow), then why would they have built this?
And everyone seems to have forgotten that huge RER/TGV trench slicing the resort in two. Any tunnel wouldn't be able to cross that, unless it went very deep.
So no. No tunnel like this exists.
I agree that it's most unlikely that this tunnel excists.
But calling someones friend a compulsive liar doesn't seem very right nor friendly either.

You're right, and I apologise to
disneyloverjessie if I upset her in any way. Perhaps I didn't choose my words very well.
I just don't like it when people take someone's passion for something they love, like DLP, and use it against them by making up stories for them to believe, which then ultimately makes them look foolish.

Ive been on the tour 3 times now and thats what Id seen. The heads were I suppose in the costumes dpt ,I cant really remember and everything else was just walking though the utilidors. The only thing noticed about being in character was the part of the tour we were in hairdressing/wigs dept and our tour guide asked one of us to ask one of the princesses for her name ,she answered with her character name even though she wasnt fully in character.
Dont forget this was not on scene but in the utilidors and the depts in the utilidors.
This was in 2000 ,my first tour and the tours after that the time in the utlidors has been shortened.
In 2000 we went in through the back (I think it was the cast members entrance)Through costumes and the check in for costumes and in various other depts like the parade control roomWwhich was neat because it looked so oldfashioned).
