Post by: Dlrpfan on February 10, 2006, 02:02:13 PM
I was looking at my HKD map and was wondering if Autopia has opened there or not

I don't think it has opened there yet... If it has, then they've been very quiet about it!

I believe it's opening later this year though I haven't heard exactly when it will be opening if you ask me it needs more in the way of dark rides than just Autopia after all Autopia isn't exactly the biggest capacity ride, maybe they need It's a Small World.

Yeah, it's an odd choice for the park's first new attraction since opening.  I know they want something cheaper than a POTC or Haunted Mansion, but if they were to build Autopia in Paris, for example, I doubt it would draw in any extra crowds.  It seems much more of a "Phase 1" attraction, rather than one you'd build after the opening.

I think something like our Casey Jr. and Storybook Canal Boats might have been better, since they're cheap and get through crowds of people quickly.  Patrick's right with IASW too, it must be weird having a Disneyland without that...  :?
