Yep, i've got them all on Video, i'm just waiting for Aladdin and TLM on 2 disc DVD, and a better release of Hercules aswell.

I'm really really looking forward to Aladdin SE now, i still love the music 12 years on!  The advert on recent Disney DVDs starts really dramatically with a great version of Arabian Nights! I love the instrumental version of that song so much!  Also partly becuase it reminds me of being on the storybook boats in Fantasyland!

Also this autumn/winter Mulan will get a 2 Disc SE release in the UK and US!  :D

I forgot The Three Musketeers was released this week! I should get it from Amazon on the 16th (with a free Mickey Musketeer Beenie! Yay!   ).

I've been on a bit of a DVD-buying frenzy at the moment, but strangely none of the ones i've bought are Disney!  I've just been making the most of all the great offers on 2disc sets now.  :D  Of the DVDs i've preordered, i'm most looking forward to the Aladdin Trilogy and Little Britain (a strange but hilarious British TV show - the best comedy for years!)

Anyway, I got "Flight of the Navigator" yesterday!  And I'm completing my "Land Before Time" collection (although these aren't Disney movies, I really love them).

YAY i have finally got Walt Disney Treasures Mickey Mouse in Living Colour Volume 2, so thank you Raptor and Davy for getting me it.  I don't care that it is in Dutch on the box it is quite fun to try and read and translate if u ask me.  So thankyou both for getting me it.  Also on a minor note hope that u both enjoy the dolls. :D

Finally the first ever 3D Mickey Mouse movie has come out here in the UK.  Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas has been released, and i bought it tonight.  It is pretty good, just find the CG Mickey a bit weird, and i prefer both him and Donald in 2D format. :D   Very Christmassy mood now
Title:
Post by: Anthony on November 16, 2004, 12:13:04 AM
Cool, glad you like the new film more than most people, but I don't think I'll be buying this one - I've spent my money on the Mulan & Mulan 2 box instead which should hopefully arrive tomorrow.  :D

I did actually quite like the look of Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas from the trailer, but I just don't think I'll want to watch it more than once - probably because of the animation.  I've watched Musketeers twice already which is good for a DTV movie.

I have now finally got Home on The Range, not like many people liked that, But i have to say that when i saw it at the cinemas i really liked it, and so bought it today. :D
Title:
Post by: Anthony on December 04, 2004, 08:22:41 PM
I should be getting it for my birthday or for Christmas!  I actually really liked it.  It was pretty funny and very fast paced which meant you never really got bored.  I loved the western setting and music aswell.  :D

What's the new short film like on the DVD?
Title:
Post by: experiment627 on December 05, 2004, 12:38:26 PM
I'd love to buy "Home on the Range" as soon as possible -- but considering that December is the month where for some reason I usually spend a whole lot of money for presents for my loved ones, it could very well be that I won't have any money left to spend on me...

Why oh why can't I be a selfish jerk???
Title:
Post by: PAT_MAGIC on December 05, 2004, 02:57:00 PM
Yeah i buy presents about 2 months in advance so i have enough money during December for other things, such as DVD's :D
Title:
Post by: PAT_MAGIC on December 05, 2004, 05:50:52 PM
Baloo i haven't got round to watching the short film yet, but i can say that watching Home on the Range again was great, i sooooo love it.  I will have a watch of the short film after i have done all my wonderful homework and report back. :D

Post by: PAT_MAGIC on December 11, 2004, 10:45:15 PM
God everyone seems to be buying Mulan, i might sometime, but anyway i have now finally watched the Minnie Movie called Dairy Tale- The Three Little pigs on the Home on the Range DVD, and it was great, it was dead funny especially the Big Bad Horse, lol.   Sadly the Animation isn't great, but that doesn't stop it from being good, it is only 2 minutes long, but Judie Dench makes it so good, well in English anyway, cos i doubt she does the vocals in any of the others languages lol

Quote from: "PATMAGIC"God everyone seems to be buying Mulan, i might sometime

Buyyy iiiit!  Buyyy iiit!     I've become slightly addicted to Mulan over the last couple of weeks, having watched the film twice and listened to the soundtrack non-stop, so my opinion might be quite biased but Mulan is really a very good DVD, even if the special features do feel like they were made up around the same time as the original Tarzan 2disc DVD...  :?
Title:

Santa's been...

The onyl Disney DVD i got was Home on the Range though - i guess i have too many already to get many more!
Title:
Post by: PAT_MAGIC on December 25, 2004, 08:10:02 PM
Yes Santa did stop here last night too, lol.  The disney DVD's i have now got added to my collection are Hercules and Hunchback of Notre Dame.  So a pretty good christmas, but if i was too include the rest that my family got it would also be: I'll Be Home for Christmas, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas and Winnie the Pooh and Christmas too, so not too many buying of Disney DVD's and vids for me to watch that i got the rest of my family, lol.  However i will not be watching Winnie The Pooh i hate it. :D

I got two more utterly fantastic Disney DVDs today - Pocahontas SE and Mary Poppins 40th Anniversary Edition.

Both excellent, excellent DVDs - it's just a shame WDHE UK are being so cheap now that they seem to have almost stopped inserts and chapter listings all together!  There are absolutely NONE in Pocahontas, and Mary Poppins only has the same cheap Disney DVD leaflet as Bambi.

No it isn't. She was my best girlfriend, but know I'm not interested in having a frienship with her anymore, because she lied to me and never reacted of my phonecalls and e-mails. So that's life I guess! You can never be sure of what's happening next!  :?

Since I last posted here, I've got the next two R2 treasures (MMLC2 and Donald) aswell as the Dumbo and Alice In Wonderland DVDs.  Whilst both Dumbo and Alice aren't as good as the R1 versions, they're good enough, and I don't have a good multiregion player anyway...

I also picked up the two Chip n Dale DVDs quite cheap aswell, which are surprisingly nice DVDs for the price.  :)

Tarzan SE has been out here since monday!!! Yay!!

So this one has been added to our collection
Title:
Post by: Anthony on May 28, 2005, 09:47:43 PM
I've already got the old 2 disc Collector's Edition, so I'm holding off buying the new SE until it goes down in price.  Yes - I will still be buying it, even though I have most of it!  The old UK version doesn't have the commentary and the menus, sound and picture quality are apparently much nicer on the new version as well, so I will get it sometime.

In the UK right now they've got promotions on Disney DVDs which are usually "buy 2 save £10", but some places just reduce the prices of the DVDs instead, so for £9.99 each I got:
- The Many Advetures of Winnie the Pooh
- Robin Hood
- The Black Cauldron
and Oliver & Company (which I've never seen) should be on its way soon as well.

I'm gradually beginning to complete my Classics collection!  :D

And I got the Tarzan SE / Tarzan 2 double pack delivered whilst I was away.  Now I have 2 special editions of the movie!

Haven't watched Tarzan 2 all the way through yet.  It doesn't look too bad, but the fact that the DisneyToon Studios always insist on using those horrible 3D-ish shadows and highlights on the characters spoils the animation a bit...  :(  For anyone buying Tarzan 2, I advise you to NOT watch Tarzan just before the sequal.  The difference in animation, voices, storytelling, songs, etc. is very noticeable.  Hopefully it'll still be a nice movie though.

Booooo!! You get it before us!  :P     Is the DVD good?

The Mission 2 trailer was included in a UK DVD a few months ago, which got me very excited at the time... I think it was one of the Lilo & Stitch DVDs.  It's so cool when you play it with the volume right up through a surround system!   :o I hope the UK Cinderella has it too.  People play DVDs again and again, so it's an amazing form of (practically) free advertising.

I've still not seen it... (it's still at the cinema over here) I think i'm going to force a couple of friends to go sometime this week.  I know the film isn't meant to exactly be a classic, but they've got it on in Disney Digital 3D near me, so I want to see what that's like...

To keep this on topic, I haven't bought any Disney DVDs in ages.  I got Lady & the Tramp, but there seems to generally be a bit of a slow season for them or something...
Title:

Haven't been here for a long time.    So just to update my Disney DVD list. In the last months I have only bought Bambi, Cinderella and Lady and the Tramp, all of them are 2 Disc Special Editions. And yesterday my husband brought me the Incredibles as a present. It's too a 2 Disch Special Collection. Not much in the last time, but by now I need to save some money for my next trip to DLP in September.

How nice to see that someone's here I get to know more and more  :nemo: Hello, minnie ;)

Well, my DVD list is so much smaller than yours. But I don't collect them, I only buy those films I prefer. So I have...

Disney/Pixar Films:
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
A Bug's Life
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles

Disney Classics:
Bambi (2 D.S.E.)
The Lion King 1-3
Tarzan
Aladdin
Lilo & Stitch
The Treasure Planet & Mary Poppins (<-- presents from my boyfriend)
The Emperors's New Groove

Other:

"Mickey's turbulente Weihnachtszeit" (this 3D-Xmas-thing)
Pirates of the Caribbean
Armageddon

And I had once, copied them and resaled them *stupid*:
Pocahontas
Mulan
Beauty & the Beast
Brother Bear

I'll buy Mulan later on again, and Pocahontas too, when there'll be released a Special Edition. And I wanna have The Rescuers Down Under again. The Beauty and the Beast hopefully will be released again one time. Yeah, and what about Ariel, I've already said: I'll not buy it if the only version will be without the original voices...

Your collection isn't that bad, all in all I have just 27 movies, not that much if you look how many the others have. But after my trip to DLP I will expand my DVD list very fast.

Stuff I'm still keen on getting - remaining 3 Walt Disney Treasures sets from US. 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, the original Herbie movies, Tron, the Goofy movies and Duck Tales the Movie.

I didn't think there was a 2 disc Cars. I think there was a 2 disc retailer exclusive in the US. Play.com have now got Meet the Robinson's up for pre-order.

I pre-ordered Meet the Robinson's and Cars on Blu Ray this morning, and put my 1 disc Cars up for sale on PlayTrade.

Quote from: "Dark_Prince"I didn't think there was a 2 disc Cars. I think there was a 2 disc retailer exclusive in the US. Play.com have now got Meet the Robinson's up for pre-order.

I pre-ordered Meet the Robinson's and Cars on Blu Ray this morning, and put my 1 disc Cars up for sale on PlayTrade.

:)

I was able to get a 2-disc version of Cars here in a normal shop in the Netherlands. It was an imported Australian special edition. It good.  :D With a metal, embossed tin to keep the dvd case in.

I should make a list of all my Disney movies, too.... At least I have all Disney Classics on either vhs or dvd (I was so chuffed when I had them complete), but I really should make a list of all the other stuff I have.

New Additions; With Woolworths offering a Free WALL-E Plushie with 2 selected disney dvd titles... I wasn't going to leave the little robot behind... and have to wait 700 years fr him to find me!

So Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons have Met the Pan Family and joined my collection of lost boys!

EDIT: Wait forgot my other Addition from Last Week: A Bargin at £6 Special Edition: Lilo & Stitch

Thinking Aladdin will have to be the next one to join my list... Probably the Trilogy though, and it will have to be before the re release of Sword and The Stone in August, and Sleeping Beauty joining my collection of Faires as she hits Blu Ray October 27th... So Just plus one on my signature tracker and you'll have the time left!

I suppose I could set up myself and maybe, be a rival to Sky Movies...

:offtopic:
By the way, have you seen those cars that go around estates now and again, all of a sudden they open their boot and they're full of DVD's, then you see the street come to life with everyone standing around the car.  I think that must be blockbusters on wheels..  Not sure how they get around the rent licensing mind, not being in an actual building...

I am not going to list them as my head would just burst. lol

I have quite a few old ones on video and I can't remember what ones.  They are up my attic.

That darn cat
Pete's dragon
The computer wore tennis shoes
Sword in the stone

We used to own a video store and kept most of the disney films but had to get rid of loads due to the fact we needed the spare room when we had kids. lol

Quote from: "SwipatronSparks"peter pan (live action)

Does it excist a Disney live-action film of Peter Pan? When, what and who!? I've only heard of the Universal release of Peter Pan directed by J.P Hogan. Or is this just that film? In that case it shouldn't be listed in a Disney DVD list, though.

Yeah, Peter Pan live action might aswell have been Disney, same storyline at the end of the day and like everything else, you mention Peter Pan in any shape or form and the first thing that springs to mind is.... Disney..
