Quote27 January 2006: Finding Nemo - Musical
As speculated since May last year, a few more details are emerging regarding the replacement show for Tarzan Rocks! at the Theater in the Wild, in the Animal Kingdom. Remember, none of this is officially announced, and as always may be subject to changes.
The existing Theater in the Wild will be modified to be totally enclosed. This is essential for the lighting effects in the new show, and also to eliminate noise pollution from the show disturbing the theme of the nearby Expedition Everest.
The new Finding Nemo Musical show will be a blacklight UV based show, very similar to Voyage of the Little Mermaid at the Disney-MGM Studios, and Animagique at the Walt Disney Studios in Paris. This new show however, is said to be on a much larger scale than Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
Musical scenes will revolve around the main scenes from the movie.
Live actors will perform using puppets and other animated props.
The show is set to open around November 2006.
Could be a future replacement for Animagique? 2 for the price of one...
I didn't expect Finding Nemo to be the replacement!! What the?! I suppose it actually makes sense though, because they don't really have any fish featured in a big way at "Animal" Kingdom do they? :)
I doubt we'd see the show as a replacement for Animagique though - it'd be a bit strange with Crush's Turtle Twister right across the courtyard. Along the same lines though, I'd love to see a Monsters Inc. blacklight show - I think that movie (especially considering the blacklight-ish opening credits) would really suit being made into a show like this! "It's a musical! Put that thing back where it came from...."
I wonder how they're going to make a musical out of Finding Nemo. There were no songs in that movie. :?:

 That's exactly what I thought!
I guess they just mean that it'll be a show performed to music from the film... perhaps?! Or maybe it'll just use "Beyond the sea" and "Just keep swimming" all the way through? :D
But is the replasement good or bad?
lol Tarzan was aweful anyway, so anything new would do the job.
