Post by: nathan.jackson on July 09, 2008, 02:56:02 PM

We almost always use it because it is so quiet. Once upon a time you could walk from the Main Street train station to PotC undercover. But then they made the adventureland bazaar a restaraurant that is rarely open :-(

My fav hidden spots are the walkways, boot hill, Adventure Isle, the gazebos in Fantasia Gardens and so many more.

Agrabah CafĂ© is open since last year on a daily base.  :)

OMG...there's that video again...hilarious...but not in the good way :D

Talking about hidden area's: I've never walked down the river (or what's it called?) between the Santa Fe and Cheyenne Hotel. On Google maps there seems to be a (little) waterfall at the end (or the beginning if you will) of this 'river'. Is it? I'm going to check next week. Never been in that area before.

Other neat parts are offcourse Skull Rock and the caves below the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. As far as Walt Disney Studio's concerned: no hidden area's there as far as I know.

How would one get from Main Street Station to the Liberty Arcade undercover? There was never a cover between the Storybook Store and the arcade, was there?

I can never quite fathom how so many people are able to miss this walkway, though; it seems pretty out there. But I suppose it's for the best, otherwise it would be the busiest place in the park on a rainy or hot day.

There is a beaver dam at SL, it's in the little waterfall by the gazebo near to the pool lodge.

If you pass the Shootin' Gallery on the the left you'll  come to a nice and quiet place where you can sit on a bench and watch the Rivers of America and Big Thunder Mountain as well as the rest of Frontierland in that direction ;)

Cheers,
Flounder

I knew about part of the hidden walk way but really it seems a little pointless in some sense because it's not that near any attraction and there will still be moments you get wet as you finally walk to the ride or attraction you want anyway....if you want to get to different lands you could always just use the disney railroad train to get around the park but it is nice to know it exists lol

They are placed differently (or used to) every day!

Can you spot them here:

Wow, the video is great. Never knew about it. But why isn't the covered walkway in Discoveryland?

well that was the original plan. Originally there was to be a Visionary table service restaurant and Discovery Mountain was to cover most of the land (with tubes between Star Tours and the Hyperion - you can see two round windows in the Hyperion today, where the tubes would have connected.

I would class the Buggy rental as a hidden part of the park. Didn't know about the first time, and it took 2 days to find on our 2nd trip, d'oh!! :)

This isn't a hidden area - more of an easily missed feature...

The last time I went to DLRP (last Christmas) the Excaibur stone was actually smoking!

The cracks in the rocks were letting out mystical clouds of smoke - I'm guessing symbolic of the dragon's lair beneath...

Here's a couple of pictures...

I really love the fact that DLP have got their act together with regards to refurbing areas & attractions, I only hope they continue what they're doing to get our beautiful park back in shape! :D

It was so quiet because it was taken at about 9:00am during Extra Magic Hours.  My girlfriend and I would always make the very most of Fantasyland during this time because the queues get insane later in the day.  Plus this was the first week in December and all the kids were still at school!
