What is your favourite ride in the Disneyland park or Walt Disney Studios? Mine is Big thunder mountain
Oh there are so many rides I love, but BTM and POTC are my most favourite ones. And in WDS I love Crush and Animagique.
Big thunder mountain
:D :D :D
:cheshire_bounce: :stitch_bounce: :cheshire_bounce: :stitch_bounce: :cheshire_bounce:
Big thunder mountain
BTM, PM, POTC and IASW
Not been to the studios so I must would say Space Mountain, and just coz it annoys my Fiance Its a small world!
That will change next year when we go, probably to ToT but we will have to see :D
My favourite attraction in WDS is Rock n Roller Coaster, and my favourite in DLP is Pirates Of The Caribbean. I love all the rides though
Mine are Peter Pan's Flight / Snow White / Phantom Mannor / Big Thunder Mountain.
Too many to choose from!
BTM and Crush for me
Quote from: "RnRCj"My favourite attraction in WDS is Rock n Roller Coaster, and my favourite in DLP is Pirates Of The Caribbean. I love all the rides though
I second that, but Indie and SM:M2 comes in close! :)
Lots of ppl like BTM dont they :? but it is mint
i like crush and BTM

SM:M2 is almost at the bottom of my list of favourite rides at DLRP because it's so rough!
phantom manor is my fave! pirates comes a close seccond though
my fave's in the studios are crush and RnRC
Oh my gosh I forgot Pirates! I love that one too :)
Its funny, when my and two friends went for my birthday, they thought that BTM was 'okay' but they preferred SM. I could not bleive that, as I love BTM so much!
POTC and Rock 'n roller coaster, honestly the rock n roller coaster makes you feel high like you're on drugs haha
Well, since about 15 months :P, Big Thunder Mountain is definitely one of my very favourite rides at Disneyland Park! (I was scared of it before... How silly of me ) Up there at the top of my list are also Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast.... Phantom Manor, and Les Pays des Contes des Fees.
In the Studios, it has to be CineMagique for me...
EDIT: Oh, and how silly of me! Sleeping Beauty Castle must be my favourite attraction of all!!! (I sometimes forget to view it as an attraction, and instead see it a s a landmark...) The castle is the most important thing for me.
My fav ride by far is the Rock n Roller Coaster. My friend and I almost had a panic attack before going on it but after we were buzzing! It is such an amazing feeling and we kept going back on it after :D .
I loved Buzz Lightyear, especially when we realised we could make our carriage thingy spin around!! I was rubbish at the start but then my score jumped from about 2000 to 10,000 when I hit something good! Yay!
Thunder mountain I love, I wish there was a big log flume ride though, I love them, I had to make do with Pirates which is why it makes it in to my favs list.

Rock n Roller Coaster without a doubt! I love it! The best ride experience I've ever had! RNRC all the way :D
Cass
Hmm, POTC, Peter Pan , Studio Tram Tour,
I used to like The Disneyland Railroad BUT they GOT RID OF THE MUSIC AND THE COMMENTARY! anyoen know why? :(
Quote from: "djdisney1"I used to like The Disneyland Railroad BUT they GOT RID OF THE MUSIC AND THE COMMENTARY! anyoen know why? :(
There was music & commentary last August, when I was there...
In the Park it is Big Thunder Mountain :D
In WDS it is Rock and Roller Coaster - i just LOVE it and the feeling i get there
omg i forgot to tell you the one who i really love: Peter Pan's flight!!!
:peter: :tink:
Yes I missed that one too. Of course I love Peter Pan's Flight. And I love IASW, I forgot that one too. Oh and PM of course too. :D
We are having a debate in our house, I think SM2 is the best but my daughter and husband both think that BTM is! :stitch_bounce:
See ya. xxxx
I hate to have to admit it but I have not been since 'crush' or 'cars' opened so my current favourites are BTM, POTC and Buzz Lightyear.
This may change in January '08 when I go next. I will let you know.
My favourites are Crush's coaster, Space Mountain: Mission 2 and Pirates.
There are so many rides and attractions that I really, really love... but if I had to pick my 5 favourite rides, I'd maybe choose...
1) Big Thunder Mountain!!!
2) Pirates of the Caribbean
3) Crush's Coaster
4) Phantom Manor
5) Studio Tram Tour
...
6) Space Mountain: Mission 2 (new on my list :P )
7) Indiana Jones
8.) Buzz Lightyear
9) ...
I actually like(d) the 95 version of Space Mountain - but since that one's lost a lot of quality in the last years I'd go for the Pirates and Big Thunder today. Phantom Manor comes next and in the Studios it's Rock'n'Roller Coaster.
Would have to say BTM especially if you get to ride it in the dark! And of course Buzz Lightyear (I will beat my childrens' scores one day!). :stitch_bounce:
I don't know how you choose - they are all great for different reasons and I'd hate to miss any of them.
Nala - love the photo of you and Jack. Can't wait to meet him.
Well, SM, as I used to work on it, is up there. Even though it's the same track and that they have refurbished the interior, I think it's better now than it was 5 years ago.
However, BTM and the Haunted House remain my top two favourites.
:pluto:
My favourite has to be Rock N Roller, it is BRILLIANT and I do love Buzz Lightyear too. My daughter Chloe loves Thunder Mountain, daughter Abby loves Pirates and husband loves Rock N Roller too. There is something for the whole family. Haven't been on Crush yet, queue was too long when we were there in June and can't wait for TOT. :minnie:
My favourite ride is Rock'n'Roller Coaster.
@ Grumpphil: Aw, thank you :)! Yeah, you can really be looking forward to him - I loved it to meet him, I think he is a great actor, you really felt a bit like a pirate beside him ;)!
Disneyland:
1) Big Thunder Mountain
2) Pirates of the Caribbean
3) Star Tours
WDS:
1) Rock 'N Rollercoaster
2) CinéMagique
Crush's Coaster and BTM
My favourite ride has to be BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN it's so well themed with it's surroundings and is the best version of that ride out of any of the other DISNEY parks.
A very close second is star tours but that is because i am a very big star wars fan.
Me and my sister (kurgly_bird) are thinking of making an onride POV of BTM if we go in april. If we do make one ill send u the link for the youtube video we i have uploaded it
i love phantom manor and pirates of the caribbean. but there is also something to be said for the really cheesy its a small world.
My Favorite Rides Are:
Disneyland:
1) Star Tours :D
2) Pirates of the Caribbean :o
3) Big Thunder Mountain :)
4) Phantom Manor 8)
Walt Disney Studios:
1) Rock 'N Rollercoaster
2) Walt Disney Studios Tram Tour :P
*Anyways I Love All The Rides In Disneyland Resort Paris As They Are All Great!
In WDS the Rock 'n Rollercoaster, and in DL the Big Thunder Mountain..
It's a tricky one, but I'd have to say...
- Big Thunder Mountain
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Star Tours
- Rock N Roller Coaster
- Peter Pan's Flight
- Phantom Manor
And hopefully I'll be able to add Crush's Coaster to the list soon. :)
My favorite rides in the Disneyland Park are Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain: Mission 2 and in the WDS it's Rock'n'Rollercoaster.
I see there are lot's of Big Thunder Mountain fans here. Cool  From what I have heard, Big Thunder Mountain Paris is better then the other versions, right?
For me: Yes!
The others aren´t that cool!
Yes it is better because everywhere else you dont go under the water to get to the mountain and it is a bit more themed
Quote from: "thekirtley2"Yes it is better because everywhere else you dont go under the water to get to the mountain and it is a bit more themed
I know, that's so true, but I still would like to visit the Walt Disney World version of the actraction, If I ever go there. Just to experience the actraction
i think after my recent trip that i have had a big change of mind, i now think buzz is the best ride for me followed by big thunder mountain :P
Quote from: "miss disney fan"i think after my recent trip that i have had a big change of mind, i now think buzz is the best ride for me followed by big thunder mountain :P
That's a SCHOCK to me. why that?

i think its because its so hands on, your trying beat the person next to you (for me thats my son) and its the one ride you WANT to brake down when your on it :P , but also bear in mind i dont like rollercoasters, we went on BTM two times in a row and that made me bad, so yes buzz gets my vote and as long as my son dosent get to turn the Space Cruiser i should beat him every time
Another Buzz Fan!!!That's great...it's my favourite attraction too although I always loose. Great that you made up your mind MissDisneyFan :D =D>
Quote from: "thekirtley2"What is your favourite ride in the Disneyland park or Walt Disney Studios?
Phantom Manor has to be my favourite. But to tell you the truth I love all of them apart from Autopia.
Wow think mine changes everytime I go.. After the last few days it has to be Crush which really suprised me, I loved the feeling of not knowing where my body was heading. Its great to have a ToT we can now call our own.
Of the classics probably BTM especially as DLP is just so awesome compared to FL and CA versions and especially at night.
My hubby and I love Rockin Rollercoaster in the studios.. Milly loves BTM... Tom, it has to be Buzz lightyear... and Lexi loves everything!!!!
I love all the rides, i think it is always hard to appreciate how well the whole place is themed. We only noticed it when we went to a theme park in the UK and thought, "my, this is a bit rubbish...not a scratch on DLP".
It was always rocknroller coaster for me, but after experiencing the tower of terror on the last trip I'm not sure anymore. :?
disneyland park
1: phantom manor
2: potc
3: BTM
WDS
1: crush
2: cinemagique
3: studio tram tour
but my top 3 in disneyland park is really approximate. i love everything in the park.
POTC (always has since the first time i went to Disneyland)
BTM and
Peter pans flight
I'm too scared to go on the big ones (SM:M2 and Aerosmith, Indianna etc)
are they really bad or are they all on the same level as BTM??
I get the feeling that I will be dragged on them all this trip by my boyfriend lol I'm not looking forward to TOT!
Just give them a try Clarebelle, you're gonna be happy once you did them and you won't even have noticed the inversions ;).
On topic: Next to PotC, ToT has to be my all time favorite since this month :P
Mine is Thunder Mountain , Phantom Manor and the Tower Of Terror , Crush's Coaster and Cars Race Rally will be the next three on my list
Pirates!! I love it so much, that is the first thing I go to everytime We go!! lol
Pirates, without doubt. Since my first visit to Disneyland in Anaheim.
I do love pirates too :D
It would have to be Big Thunder Mountain, followed by Phantom Manor :D/
In the Studios: Rock n Roller Coaster and Crush(possibly ToT after this year's visit)
In Disneyland Park: Pirates and Big Thunder Mountain
hmmmm......pirates, crush, BTM, SM well actually all the rollercoasters really :)
And i have loved pirates ever since i first went on it :D
I went on crush's coaster in April and it is sooooooooo good! :D
Indiana Jones is really good too
Hmmm fav rides are big thunder mountain and buzz lightyear... can't choose between them!
Pirates. The atmosphere of the attraction is phenomenal, and DLP's has that cavernous queue... Perfection. No other ride does such a good job at transporting you into another world.
This is torchure!!!
Here are my top 10, and they're not in any particular order:
1. Small world
2. Phantom Manor
3. Space mountain
4. Peter pans flight
5. Big Thunder Moutain
6. Pirates of the Carribean
7. Buzz Lightyear Lazer blast
8. Tram Tour
9. Star tours
10. Honey I shrunk the audience (does that class as a ride?)
Hmm I like MinniesBestPal's idea of doing a top 10!!!
So here's mine:
1. Phantom Manor
I was such a wimp as a child that I didn't actually have the nerve to go on this ride until I went to WDW in 2005 at the age of 20!! And now I'm hooked on it!
2. Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
Went on this a grand total of 6 times during my first visit to DLP last September, even though I can't hit the targets to save my life!
3. Snow White's Scary Adventures
Fairly obvious - a classic nostalgic ride based on one of my all-time favourites... and the Old Hag does still scare me slightly!
4. Pirates of the Caribbean
DLP's version of this ride is my favourite - I just love the queue winding through that huge castle!
5. Big Thunder Mountain
Haven't been on this ride since I was 16 due to my ex being scared of coasters! It's one of the things I'm most looking forward to about going back to DLP!
6. Peter Pan's Flight
I remember going on this ride when I was 3 years old and how amazed and stunned I was that we were actually "flying"! That's always stayed with me as one of my most enduring Disney memories and so this ride has to be in my top 10!
7. It's A Small World
Despite this ride having the most annoyingly catchy song you're EVER likely to hear , it's always been one of my favourites, and more importantly it's my Mum's too! :)
8. Le Pays des Contes de Fees
"Strange choice!" I hear you cry.... But this is such an endearing little ride that I felt it had to be included. The little miniature sets are so cute, and it took me 2 rides to spot the castle from Beauty & The Beast perched up near Casey Jr.'s track!... Also it's great if you want to relax and rest your feet for a while!
9. Mad Hatter's Tea Cups
This was the one of the first Disney rides I EVER went on in 1987 - to this day I still remember my Dad yanking the wheel round to spin the cup as fast as he possibly could!!
10. Star Tours
I always have loved this and always will - probably cos when I first went on it it was so realistic... Admittedly it could maybe do with an update now though!
:mickey2:
Big Thunder Mountain is my all time favourite ride!
i love it!

me too! I'm even getting the T-shirt on our next trip lol

yeah me too! im going soon and i cant wait!
last year me and my mum and sister and her fiance went and we went on it soooo much we decided to change the way we'd look on the photos.
by pullling faces or ducking down etc.
was funny, me and my sister were playing that game where you sing as you hit each others hands haha...sounds violent the way i explain it.

my b/f wont let me go on it as much any more (3 times in an hour is apparantly too many times! lol he says I have to do another ride if I want to go on it again :-( like SM:M2 or Rockin Roller Coaster (I hate rollercoasters)
And I really MUST get a photo this time!! I'm gonna start collecting them for all rides (then I will have to go on them all!)
haha yeah roller coasters scare me!
i like thunder mountain because its a middle ride...like it doesnt go upside down which is the part of roller coasters that freaks me out.
thats why i like crushes coaster too, but thunder moutain more. because on crushes coaster i screamed and was enjoying it but then i paused screaming and was just kinda thinking 'oooo my what was i thinking' lol
but was good fun anyways =]
my mum wont let me go on thunder mountain too much either, cause she gets claustraphobic and so we get the fast pass so the queues faster and we're not as closed in but she still panics abit so we tend to break up the times we go on =]
Quotei like thunder mountain because its a middle ride...like it doesnt go upside down which is the part of roller coasters that freaks me out.
Thats why I like it, inversions are a BIG no no, TOT scared the hell out of me, I was shaking when I got off!! but I loved it, not sure if I'm ready to go back on quite yet though! claustraphobia and BTM don't exactically mix do they :-(
Crush's was good, we got to skip the que coz there was only 2 of us, but we had to go backwards  But I was ok with that, only been on it once, we went in Feb and it was soooo busy (over an hour long ques!!!) and it kept breaking down, so I was just happy we got to go on it once!!
yeah they freak me out haha!
i couldnt go on TOT i think i'd cry lol
it was funny because to beging with i wouldnt go on Thunder Mountian cause i was scared so i've only been going on it for about half the times i've been to disney lol
and its my favourite ride now.
but yeah its my mums fav ride too, and she withstands her panicing in the queue just to go on it.
yeah i went on crush's last summer time and waited for nearly 2 hours, i read the waiting time sign wrong lol
but it was worth the wait.
Well I read TOT 5 mins wait time ... so just decided to jump on  ! watching it from outside I thought "oh that doesnt look too bad" lol my bf LOVES rollercoasters and near death experiences I think lol and he says its one of the worst rides hes been on, but he loves it!
come to think of it I was scared of all rides (and characers) on my first DLRP trip lol and would never dream about going on BTM some times it still scared me a bit now, but I just have to remember I trust it and I know it wont brake (thats my biggest fear!!!)
yeah i always panic incase it breaks specially in the tunnels.
im more scared of the characters now than when i was when i was younger.
it just freaks me out haha
I always wonder what kind of person is in there, not so much in Disney anymore.
And clowns are freaky!!
yeah me too, though i am getting used to the Disney characters.
clowns freak me out soo much!
there were some clown like people in the village last year and i actually walked/ran away haha
Big Thunder Mountain, POTC, Crush's Coaster, It's a small world.
Quote from: "burntsienna"yeah me too, though i am getting used to the Disney characters.
clowns freak me out soo much!

oh so thats the little circus???
i dont know really, must have been.
haha didnt see much, just saw clownness and ran haha!
Quotejust saw clownness and ran haha!
Has to be Phantom Manor for me. Riding The Haunted Mansion in WDW was the first thing we did after our wedding, so it has a special meaning for us. I prefer the outside of Phantom Manor to the WDW mansion too.
Other favourites are BTM and POTC.
In the studios, RNRC and Cinemagique.
big thunder mountain for sure :)
Big thunder mountain is clearly the most favoured of the magicforum users :P
:bump: I just wanted to get this topic going again, :P I think my second favourite would be a tie between Crush's Coaster and Indiana Jones and The Temple of Peril
Quote from: "CJinWonderland"big thunder mountain for sure :)
exactly! :)
Another vote for Big Thunder Mountain. Although I love the Tower of Terror and Pirates of the Caribbean as well, there's just something special about Frontierland's finest!
This is such a hard call, but it is a 3 way tie: Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Tower of Terror.
i never visited terror of tower, i'm very afraid of it :D
is it only free fall? or is there something else to see?
Quote from: "Mrs. Jennes"i never visited terror of tower, i'm very afraid of it :D

Well the main part of the attraction is of course the free fall part, but there is so much more to the ToT.
Firstly there's the massive amount of theming, from the moment you enter the lobby you'll be taken back from it. Then you move on to the Library room, which is kinda similar to the Phantom Manor streach room as it is a pre-show. Again there is plenty of theming in here too, as well as a very enjoyable pre-ride video. There's one more thing you queue through before the big drop, which is the greatly themed boiler room. Look out for many Twilight Zone references throughout the queue. Also, in the actual ride part it isn't just you go up, you drop. There is a little more to it with the story, but let's not spoil it ;)
Anyway, if you want to see the inside of the ride but not the actual ride, you can always tell a CM before you enter the liftshaft and they'll direct you to the "chicken exit".
Let's put it this way - Tot has more in common with PM and PotC than a thrill ride. even if the drops weren't there, it would be one of mu favorites. It does have a fairly strong story and some great special effects.
Mine is definely the TOT
Definitely ToT and PoTC, the athmospheres really get to me.
i absolutely love space mountain mission 2 and the tower of terror i can't decide be between both...
here are also pictures from me on both rides (i'm the blonde one)

No offence PetiteSirene , but how many times have you been to DLP ?
Petite Sirene is a good friend of mine and she has been a lot of times - she is going to be there again in September! and she has now been on the TOT loads of times and loves that. Not wanting to speak for her but SMM2 is her fave as thats the ride her now husband used to work on when he was a cast member :D
in order:
pirates of the caribbean
haunted mansion
peter pan's flight
:)
My favourites have to be Dumbo and Pirates of the Caribbean. x
My TOP 3 is:
Pirates of the Caribbean
It's a Small World
Big Thunder Mountain
My favourites are
Thunder Mountain
Pirates of Caribbean
Tower of Terror
Phantom Manor without a doubt.
Big Thunder Mountain
Pirates
Tower of Terror
Aerosmith
Phantom Manor
Pirates
Peter Pan
and fast working it's way up the list Big Thunder Mountain
Pirates !!
Big Thunder Mountain
Tower of Terror
Phantom Manor and Thunder Mountain. To be honest I like a lot of the rides though.
