We usually just try and squish into a space  I'd like to know where some good places to stand are though.

We mostly stand somewhere in the circle at Town Square. It's a good place to film the Parade.

Usually about 150 yards or so down from the Gibson Girl, so you catch the floats coming around the stage in front of the castle, and then levelling off as they set off up Main Street. I've tried several spots over my visits, but got some of my best photo's from here.

My favourite spot is at the arch entrance to Fantasyland, the one which leads to Pizzaria Bella Notte. Hope you understand which arch I'm talking about. ;)

Now, if you imagine the placement of Bella Notte relative to that arch, I like to stand just on the other side of the arch (i.e., facing the Fantasyland entrance - not exit), and on the other side of the road. Great photo opportunities there, with the pink arch often framing the floats. Also, that spot tends to be quite quiet, so it is relatively easy to get a great spot right up to the rope if you're there twenty minutes in advance or so. (And otherwise, you can stand on top of the benches behind the crowd.)

The only drawback: you tend to miss the showstops there....

EDIT: And another great thing about being so relatively close to a parade's beginning... When you've finished watching it, the majority of the guests is still busy watching it - which means you only have about a two minutes waiting time at Snow White and Pinocchio and such. ;)

I always find that if you sit just between the Castle and the opening where the parade comes down is an ideal place to see the floats as they come out.  Also a great place to be for the fireworks as well.

I often go somewhere in Casey's Corner or Central Plaza, There you get a good view of the floats & the castle towering over them.

Outside City Hall is a good spot, many's a time I've sat there for ages waiting for the parade! And you get to see the floats as they come round the corner and as they go past you. We also sat on the other side of the road once for the Main St Electrical Parade, in front of the bandstand looking up towards the Castle.

Another good spot is directly opposite the gate where the parade starts (at the exit to Fantasyland/just round the corner from Fantastia Gelati, near Pizzeria Bella Notte) - we saw the Halloween Disney Villains parade there and before the start the pink Witches all came out and did a salute with their brooms in front of the gate!

I sit on the seats by the stage at the side of Cinderellas Castle, and the front seats were reserved for children and some of the sides werern't reserved so people could sit there, and the walking characters come up close! We got a High 5! WoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoW!

Normally we watch the parade from its a small world just as the floats pull out or town square - great for the xmas parade if you want a video of the parade while its snowing!

We saw the parade from the terrace just above the stage's seats and it's a good place to take pictures. We had not the chance to interatc with characters as you could do when you are along the road of course.

Have to change my mind to outside Bella Notte now. The Princess floats stop here, it isn't quite as busy and you get head on shots of the floats as they come out the gates and side on shots as they pass by.

We stand by the train station near city hall, it's nt too crowded and you get to see all the floats coming towards you.  It is fantastic.  Great spot for filming and photographs

Like the view from the Station steps but its not so good for filming from as there is a lamp post in the middle of the shot. Always watch the parade from different sides of Main Street so you can see both sides of the floats, best spot is the corner as Main Street opens into the square.

We always watch the parade from Town Square. The best is just at the corner of Emporium. Or just near the gate where the Parade ends. We watched the Parade from IASW queue area, but I don't liked that spot. In my opinion you're not close enough to see all so clearly.

Disneyana, you need to stand outside Bella Notte. That's where I got my Day 3 and 4 photo's from on my recent visit. Awesome views as the Princess floats stop here and you get them all dancing around in front of you.

It's a fairly quiet spot too. You get the first views of the floats as they come out the gates, and you get nice head on shots of the floats as they come towards you, and you're just on a bend, so you also get them turning for side on shots, and rear shots as they move away. The first parade stop is when the last float clears these gates, which is the second Dreams of Romance float, so you're right between the two Princess floats at this point, so you get some great pictures of Belle and the Beast, and Aladdin and Jasmine, who are probably the most difficult characters to photograph on the OUAD parade. I had castmembers comment on that to me too.

Another good thing, is that once the parade has passed you, it's still going on up Main Street for another 15 minutes or so, so you can then nip off into Fantasyland where there are hardly any queues because everyone's watching the parade. Only downside, is you can't get the castle in shot on the parade, but it can be difficult to do that anyway.

I prefer to watch the parades from outside City Hall...it makes it all the more fun to see the parade appear from around the corner! :D

My friends and I stood by the queue for Its a Small World and got some amazing pics, we also got some great ones from standing outside Bella Notte, we made sure we right at the front!
I didnt like Main Street too much - lots of tiny people were pushed in front of us and we ended up further and further back from the curb. :(

I didn't have that trouble last time I went as It was really quiet.

I think I might have to find somewhere different this time though....somewhere no-one else will think of! :D

i like watching the parade from the outdoor theatre near the castle. We have some fab photos from when they never used to reserve the front row for kids and so had a front fow seat. But it saves standing around waiting or getting pushed by crowds and if you pick a back row seat you can always then stand up and watch the parade as it goes past.

Are all the stop points the same or would you have to watch the parade countless times to see each stop routine..

Where are the best stop areas. :?:

I actualy don't remember those stops. The music, and the characters in the parade always make me so dreamy.
