Title: Trip Report! 20th-22nd of June 2007! X3 Now with Pics!
Post by: Masamune on June 24, 2007, 11:55:32 AM
:o I seriously don't know where to begin with this. I saw so many wonderful things, and this was easily my best Disneyland Paris trip ever. I'll try to ease off the emotes as I go along, as there's bound to be plenty of places to use them.

:) I think I'll do a day-by-day report, and then an in-depth one about the Once Upon a Dream Parade and other new things. I just hope I don't miss anything out!

Day 1

The day didn't start off very good, as our plane was delayed by 45 minutes. It wasn't too bad though, as we made up a bit of time in the air so we arrived in Paris only 30 minutes late. Unfortunatly, we had just missed the Vea coach, so we had to wait another 30 minutes for the next one. :) Again though, it wasn't too bad, as we met this lovely English family who was staying in the same hotel as us ( the Santa Fe ). It was their first trip to Disneyland Paris, so me and my mum were happy to tell them everything we knew.

Once the coach had arrived, it only took about 40 minutes for us to reach the Santa Fe. Our room was available ( yay! ), so we went to it and unpacked. :) The room was lovely as always, and we had a great view of the river and one of the bridges that lead to the Cheyenne. Once we had done all that, it was time to get something to eat, so we went and got the Santa Fe shuttle bus.

After a quick stop at McDonald's ( yes, we eat there ) we were heading off towards the Parks. The whole time all I was saying was "OMG we're finally here!" and "OMG I can't believe how big the Tower of Terror is!".

As always, we spent the whole of Day 1 in the main Park. When we got in at about 1:45pm, the Character Parade was just starting, so we watched it on one of the corners before following it up Main Street. :D I couldn't believe how beautiful everything looked. The banners running down Main Street were magnifique, and the Castle was incredible! The statues are much bigger in real life than what they look like in pictures.

Since we had literally just got there, we decided to go and get FastPasses for Big Thunder Mountain before doing anything else, then we returned to Main Street. Casey Jr had parked up, and all the various characters were scattered about, surrounded by people. I took the oppertunity to get my picture taken with the only character that was crowded; Casey Jr.

After that, we walked over to Discovery Land. :x It's there that we discovered the new rule about FastPasses, which means you can only get one at a time, no matter what ride it's for. Since our return time for BTM wasn't for a while, we then headed to Fantasy Land. The weather was boiling, but a nice cool breeze would blow past occasionally, so it wasn't so bad.

In Fantasy Land, first we went on the Story Book ride, and then Casey Jr. I love the Story Book ride, and was more than happy to tell the English couple who was sitting behind us what each story was. They didn't know what Peter and the Wolf was, and they didn't know who Chernabog was either.

The que for Casey Jr was quite long, but most of it was shaded by trees. :P When we finally got to the front, we were placed right at the back of the train on the seats that face backwards. Casey Jr is SO much fun going backwards! It's funny, because for most of the trip we either ended up at the front of a ride or at the back.

By the time we had done both those rides, it was about 3:25pm, so we decided to head back to Main Street to decide where we would sit for the Once Upon a Dream Parade at 4pm. We ended up parking ourselves along the rope that blocked off the route as it turned the corner to go down Main Street. Again, we ended up chatting to an English family, who told us about Crush's Coaster and Cars Race Rally. They said Cars wasn't even worth waiting 5 minutes for, and they qued up for an hour for it. And they said Crush was really good, but they were surprised at how much like a proper coaster it was. One of their kids got really scared, as they had thought the ride would be more like a kiddie coaster than a proper one.

Waiting 30 minutes for the Parade to start sucked, as the wind had died down completely and the sun was right in front of us. I couldn't even sit on the floor because the ground kept burning my hands, so I ended up standing the whole time. Strangely, we encountered hardly any pushy parents on this trip. In fact, we countered many polite ones! A French man politely asked my mum if his kid could stand in front of her and he said thank you like 3 times when mum said yes. :D This trip was all about pleasant surprises I think.

( o_o I've just realised how much I've typed so far. XD Eek. )

When the music finally hit and I could see the golden sun of the first float in the distance, I got really excited. :P I LOVED THE PARADE MUSIC! As soon as that music got into full swing, all my fears and doubts about it not being as good as Dancin' were long gone.

The Parade itself was everything I dreamed it would be and more. The floats were all beautiful, the performers were amazing and the characters were all really enthusiastic. :P I still haven't been able to choose which float I liked best out of the Dream of Power, the Dream of Adventure and the Dream of Romance: Part 2. ( I'll type up a more in-depth review of this Parade later )

After the OUADP, it was time for us to return to Big Thunder Mountain. We only had to que up for about 10 minutes in the FastPass lane, which was great. As always, BTM was hilarious. That ride just makes me laugh so much because of how excited everyone on board is. Everyone's screaming and laughing and WOOOOOOOOO-ing. And I love waving to people in the Phantom Manor que and on the Riverboats. The best thing about BTM is that it's a long ride. You're not on and off it in a matter of seconds, you have time to see a bit of scenery and have a lot of fun. :o My mum hates roller coasters, but she loves BTM, so I don't know what that makes BTM.

After that, it was back across Main Street to pick up a FastPass for Buzz. That was at about 5pm, so after we picked up the FastPasses, we went down to the bottom of Main Street to pick up our wristbands for the Extra Magic Hours that night. :P The Cast Member who give us ours was very charming, and he went down on one knee and took my hand so he could put the wristband on it. It was embarrasing because people were watching, but it was sweet at the same time. It's Cast Members like that who really make my day.

Rather than risk queing up for something before Candleabration at 6pm, we decided to have a look around the shops down Main Street and do a bit of pin trading. I got really lucky with pin trading this year, as I traded for about 10 really nice pins. :o Some were even from America!

Whilst we're on the subject of America, I have to mention this. There was SO many Americans at DLRP whilst we were there. Seriously, the whole trip we were hearing American accents every so often. ;) I hope all our American friends had a blast. I was tempted to go up to some of them and ask what they thought of DLRP, but I thought better of it incase they compared it to WDW, which isn't really fair.

At about 5:40pm, we went to stand in front of the gates in front of the 15th Anniversary stage. :P Baloo's website recommended we stand there, and now I recommend it too! The show was fabulous! I imagine it would be better if it were darker, but not by much, as the show was brilliant even in daylight. :P I had to fight back happy tears when the music for that show began, and when Mickey was lighting up the candles. It was all very magical, and I loved every minute of it.

By this time our feet were aching like mad, so we decided to sit down for a bit before returning to Buzz with our FastPasses. :D I scored 97100, which is my best ever score! After that, we decided to leave the Park to get something to eat at McDonald's. It's funny, because we NEVER eat McDonald's at home, but at DLRP, that's pretty much all we eat, as it's better value for money than anything in the Parks.

After that, we returned to the Park just before Extra Magic Hours were due to start. This system is brilliant, and they should definatly carry it on after the 15th Anniversary is over. We got on so many rides without having to que for more than 10 minutes! We went on Star Tours, the Tea Cups ( twice, as they let us stay on! ), the Carousel, Pinocchio and Big Thunder Mountain ( also twice, but we had to que up again ).

When it got to about 9:30pm, we decided to head out. We took loads of pictures of the Castle, as we could finally see the candles lit up as the sky got darker. Main Street looked amazing with all the banners lit up. Even though my feet were killing me, I just wished we could've stayed there all night!

It was a fantastic day, which I didn't think could be beaten. ;) But then Day 2 came along. :P I'll type up my Day 2 report later on. I hope my mass amount of text hasn't bored you all to death.

Good Tripreport!

Nice to hear what the people think of Crush and Cars! I don't get why those people say it isn't worth a 5 minute waith , I mean , you can see the ride from outside , you know what it is.. How can it dissapoint you after riding it?

:D Aww, I'm glad everyone's liked my report so far!

@ Japper - Well, like you say, you can see what the ride is without going on it. :P *Will discuss the Cars ride in the Day 3 report* :) Time for Day 2!

Day 2

:x On Day 2 we woke up a bit late, so we had to rush to get to the Park in time for Good Morning Fantasy Land. We're usually the first guests in the Park ( literally! ), so we were a bit gutted that we didn't actually get in till 9:10am. It was OK though, as there was still very few people around, so we took our usual picture of Main Street.

After filling up on cereal, orange juice and cheese, we were off! We went straight to Peter Pan ( one of mum's fave rides ) and got on it without having to que. :P And they actually let us stay on it, so we got to ride it twice. That's the beauty of Good Morning Fantasy Land; no queing and double rides! We then went on the Dumbo ride ( we rode this twice, but we had to que up a little the 2nd time ) and then we went on the Carousel. After that, we decided to head towards It's a Small World... and lucky us, there was a group of characters right there!

We had gotten lucky in April 2005 at this same spot, the large area at the side of It's a Small World, right next to the big gates that lead backstage. :D There was Eeyore, Pluto, Friar Tuck and Chip and Dale. There wasn't many people around yet either, as the Park hadn't opened yet, so I got some lovely pics taken. Then, one of the doors in the big gate opened...   and Snow White, Cinderella and Prince Charming walked out! I'm sorry, but this moment deserves all those  emotes. Seriously, everyone there just stood staring for a few seconds! :P Then of course, everyone made a run for them. I still couldn't believe that they were even there! This was the first time I'd ever seen Princesses outside of a Parade, so I didn't know quite what to do at first.

Since Snow White didn't have as much of a crowd as Cinderella and Prince Charming, I headed over to her first. :) Gosh, she was absolutely stunning. She was easily the most beautiful Princess I had ever seen, and she had a rounded face and rosey cheeks just like Snow White herself! Thankfully, no one was being too pushy. There was a few parents there that wanted their kids to hug Snow White and get pictures ( obviously ), but no one was rude about it. :D I finally got my picture taken with her and got her autograph, and she said "have a nice day" as I was leaving. I was soooooo happy!

After dragging myself down off Cloud 9, I walked over to Prince Charming and Cinderella. The group of people around them was still big, so at first I only managed to get a picture with Prince Charming. This guy was GORGEOUS, and his accent was so lovely! :P He really was very charming, and he asked if I had an autograph book. After quickly nodding my head like an excited child, I pulled it out for him to sign. :D Then he nudged Cinderella and passed it to her! Whilst Cinderella was signing, I asked if I could get a picture with them both, and they happily agreed. :) Cindy was very pretty, and I felt really special stood between the two of them. It was one of those magical moments where all I was thinking was "I'm stood here with Cinderella and Prince Charming and I think I'm gonna cry." :P Cry in a good way of course. Thankfully I held it in, and we then headed to It's a Small World as the crowds started to grow. That was probably my high point of the whole trip.

By the time we had come off It's a Small World, the Princesses had gone. We then decided to head towards the Snow White ride ( :P I have a new love for Snow White ). As we got close, we could hear music playing, and it wasn't coming from the Carousel. :D It was actually a full brass band, much like the Bat Boys that played during Halloween, only bigger. I love this kind of thing, so we stopped to watch the show. All together we heard them play 8 songs in full, all of which were brilliant! They played Beauty and the Beast, the song from The Sorcerer's Apprentice part of Fantasia, Pink Elephants on Parade, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, Heigh-Ho, Whistle While You Work and two others that I can't quite remember. One was from Hercules I think ( the song that plays near the beginning that has no lyrics ), but I could be wrong. :o Either way, it was a fantastic show, and yet another unexpected Disney treat.

By the time we had finished watching this, the que for Snow White had gotten massive as the Park had been opened to everyone before we even got to the music show. Because of this, we ended up heading to Frontier Land to get yet another FastPass for Big Thunder Mountain. :D It was as we were coming through the Castle that we noticed Aurora, Prince Philip, Belle and her Prince having photos taken on the stage! We did get in the que, but after like 20 minutes we had only moved a few feet so it didn't seem like a good idea to spend over an hour in that que. Also, they swapped with Ariel/Eric and Jasmine/Aladdin, which sealed it for me as I wanted a pic took with Aurora and Philip more than the others. :P I was happy though, as at least I had gotten Cindy's, Charming's and Snow White's autographs earlier.

We realised that Alphabet You Are was due to start soon, so we decided to watch that before going for our BTM FastPasses. :P It was such a funny little Parade. I loved the letters that were represented by Donald and Daisy Duck, as they were the most detailed. Even if you don't plan on seeing this show again, you should definatly see it at least once. :D

After getting the FastPasses for BTM, we went back to Main Street to wait for the Character Parade. :o A few characters on the train today were Stitch, Timon, Pinocchio, Baloo and Captain Hook. I managed to get my pic taken with Stitch and Timon ( after A LOT of patience ), and I got their autographs too. I then got a pic took with Hook after he had already got back on the train, as he bent down to try and grab me with his hook.

Straight after that we returned to BTM with our FastPasses. The normal que for BTM is almost always insane, so I'm glad that FastPasses are available. After coming of BTM we headed to the Tarzan show at the bottom of Frontier Land. :D Before the show started, a Cast Member named Alan ( or Alain ) was performing magic tricks. He was really good, he had the whole audience in stitches.

:o The show itself was brilliant. There was a bunch of people dressed up as monkeys, but one of them had a white wig instead of a grey one. I'm guessing this was because he was meant to stand out, as he was the one who was seriously entertaining. He was making monkey noises and making funny faces, which really made the show for me.

As soon as the show finished, we made a mad dash for the train. We had to wait about 10 minutes for it to arrive, but we did manage to get a cart that only had one other family in it. I think they were Spanish. :P The two kids of the family kept trying to catch mine and my mum's attention by making silly faces. Then, they started copying each other. This was seriously a lot funnier than what it sounds. When the little girl touched her brother's nose, he would touch her nose and so on. In the end, the little boy pulled his sister's hair, which was hilarious as he didn't do it hard but it totally surprised his sister. :P I'm telling you this because it was just one of the funniest things I've ever seen, and it's only at DLRP that I would find kids so amusing and cute.

We rode the train round a couple of times before getting off at Main Street Station so we could head back to the hotel to change shoes and get something to eat. The day had started off a bit rainy so we had both come out in rainy-weather shoes, but the day brightened up soon after so we needed to change. After yet another trip to Maccy D's, we headed back to the Park for the OUADP.

:) This time we decided to stand right at the back of the Park where the Parade actually starts. I had a feeling that a Princess stop would occur there, and I was right! Unfortunatly, we stood a bit far down and the Ariel/Jasmine float parked right in front of us. It was OK though, as we could still see the Princesses dancing on either side. :D And we got a big whiff of the flowery scent that accompanies both floats.

After the Parade had left that area and the path between Fantasy Land and Discovery Land had been reopened, we speed walked all the way to where the Parade finishes, just in time to watch it all over again!

Finally, it was time to do something I'd been waiting to do; run around Alice's Curious Labyrinth! For the first time ever I actually forgot how to reach the Queen of Heart's castle, so I was quite ashamed of myself. :P We found it eventually though, and took some nice pics before heading back down.

For the rest of the day, we had a proper look around all the shops in Main Street, Fantasy Land, Discovery Land and Frontier Land. :) All the 15th Anniversary stuff is gorgeous, and all of it is pretty reasonably priced, so we bought quite a few things. Before leaving the Park, we ended up queing for the Snow White ride, and I picked up a last minute FastPass for Space Mountain to be used between 7:40pm and 8.00pm. :P I managed to get on just in time before they stopped letting people on.

:D Day 1 was great, but Day 2 was even better I think. I can't wait to get the pictures back. We took almost 200 pictures over the 3 days we were there, so hopefully there'll be some really magical ones. :) I'll probably wait till tomorrow to type up my Day 3 report and my in-depth look at the OUADP. :P Again, I hope no one's eyes fell out whilst reading all this.

@ Angela - :P 1 week isn't much longer! I'm jealous because I wish I could go back! :) Be sure to keep checking that area beside It's a Small World, just incase you get lucky and there's some characters there.

:o June 20th-22nd fell on a Wednesday to Friday. We've never actually been on a weekend, as I don't think we could deal with the extra crowds very well.

@ fly - :D Aww, thanks! I'll be sure to post all the best ones once we recieve them. Mum's posting off all 6 films tomorrow, and it says on the envelope that it can take up to two weeks to recieve the pictures as we're also getting them on disc. :P That way I can put all the pics on the comp without having to scan them.

I must confess that reading so long English and pink texts was not that easy for me  :P But anyways, I could really feel with it, as if I walked behind you :)

It really sounds as if you had a magical time there with your mum, really great! :)
It's not that I'm just jealous that you've been there while I have to wait almost 3 months - you're sooo lucky meeting princesses beside the Castle Stage/Parade!!! I can absolutely feel with you, I'd surely have almost cried, too :)! In 1992 I had my first visit at DLP, I was 8 years young and my dad took a picture of me and a pretty Snow White (that must have been at nearly the same place where you now met them!!). Although my view was quite strange, I love to watch the picture today, it's just magical to have a photo together with a princess! :)

Now I'm really curious to see the pictures!

:D Thanks for the comments guys! :P I'm glad to have been able to get you all excited for your own 15th Anniversary trips.

@ Nala - :) Like I said, that was the first time I had EVER seen Princesses outside of a Parade, so it was such a special moment. Moments like that are definatly timeless, so no doubt I'll treasure my photos with the Princesses also! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I look OK on them. It may turn out that I had an insane smile on my face because of how excited and happy I was.

:o On to Day 3!

Day 3

We made sure we didn't sleep in today, as we wanted to be at the Studios as soon as it opened. We had packed the night before, so we dropped off our suitcase at customer services and headed off to breakfast. Our breakfast at the Santa Fe was meant for 9:15am, but because we had forgotten where the entrance to the breakfast all was, we ended up just walking through the exit at around 9am, so we got in 15 minutes early. I had forgotten how disorganised breakfast at the Santa Fe is, and it took me ages to find the milk station, so it's a good job we got in early.

:) We reached the Studios just in time for them to announce the opening, and for the big doors at the end of Studio 1 to open up. Of course, everyone made a bee-line for Crush, so instead, me and mum headed for Aerosmith. :P We knew we would have to que up for Crush no matter when we went, so we figured it would be better to do other things first.

 As I've mentioned, my mum hates roller coasters, but she was feeling brave this trip. She actually quite enjoyed the Rock n' Roller Coaster! The only thing she didn't like was the launch. She actually thinks Crush is scarier than RnRC, but I'll talk more on that later.

For some reason, no FastPasses were available in the Studios that day, so I didn't get to go on Aerosmith again. After RnRC, we decided to catch the Good Morning Walt Disney Studios Parade. :D I love this little Parade, and I was really chuffed when I could see Scrooge McDuck on one of the cars in the distance. I managed to get my picture taken with him and a few others. Donald was acting really funny. He stole someone's WDS map and looked like he was trying to get somewhere, with a flock of kids following him all the way.

After that, we headed towards Animagique, and I got my picture took with Abu nearby. :) I still say this is the greatest Disney show ever, and if you haven't seen it yet, you NEED to! As always, the show was flawless, and there was THREE pink elephants on stage during the pink elephants routine! The most I've ever seen in that show is two, so that was a real treat, as I love pink elephants!

After Animagique, we decided to go and catch the Lilo and Stitch show. By now it had started to rain a bit, but it didn't dampen our spirits one bit! The Lilo and Stitch show was really great. It was very interactive, especially when they got some kids from the audience to come on stage. :P The presenters of the show were a little bit too enthusiastic for my liking, but I guess that's not a bad thing.

Right after the Stitch show, mum pulled out the WDS event leaflet and pointed to something that filled my heart with dread. The High School Musical show was just about to start. By this time I was DYING to get in the que for Crush's Coaster, but as you guys know, I promised that I'd give this show a chance. So with a heavy heart, we made our way towards RnRC, where the show had just started.

:P As you may have read in the High School Musical thread, I hated this show. It was cheesy, it was weird and it was pointless. The dancers were great, but the fact is that they were dancing to songs that hurt my brain and wearing outfits that hurt my eyes didn't help. If you love the film, or are easily entertained (like my mum), you'll probably love this show. If you hate the film (like me), or high-pitched singing and in-your-face dancing gets on your nerves, then you'll hate it. The Cruella show was much better than this, and more universal too I think.

As soon as the High School Musical float began to move, we quickly made our way to Crush. On our way, we stopped to take a picture of the Tower of Terror. That thing is HUGE. I still can't believe how big it was. :o It looks like they're building a proper hotel, not a ride! As we passed by Animagique again, we saw Sulley and Chicken Little, but I was too eager to get into the Crush que to meet them.

Once we got in the que, we spotted some familiar faces just ahead of us. :D It was the family who we had met at the airport, who's first time it was at DLRP. We managed to reach them ( ;) we didn't push if that's what you're thinking, we just managed to slide past a few people :P ) and we chatted about what they had done on their trip for the rest of the que.

:) They had had a brilliant time, which was nice to hear. The only bad thing was that they had done the Princess meal at L'Auberge, and the food was apparently rubbish. Since they were a family of four ( 2 adults, 2 kids ) it had cost A LOT of money, and all their kids ate was some berries. Even the Cinderella slipper was so sweet that the kids didn't like it. Of course they were glad to have met the Princesses, it's just a shame the food wasn't any good.

We qued up for Crush for about 50-60 minutes, which wasn't too bad considering the sign outside had said the wait was 75 minutes. :D This ride was easily the best ride I've EVER been on. It was SO much fun! It starts off rather tame, with a few small dips as you go around various parts of the Finding Nemo story. :P The best part was when we went through the submarine and Bruce had poked his head through. His head was so big and it looked just like how he looks in the film, so I was very impressed. 8) Then when we dropped into the East Australian Current, the ride really became a proper roller coaster. Seriously, it was incredible! I think the fact that I didn't expect it to be this good was what made it so great. :P This ride is well worth an hour long wait, or even more!

When we got off and met the family from the que, both their kids were crying. :( The poor things had no idea the ride was going to be like that, so they were both very upset. This ride definatly isn't for kids, but I wouldn't say it's as extreme as Space Mountain. It's like a soft version of RnRC I think. o-o; But my mum thinks it's WORSE than RnRC because she felt like she was going to fall out the whole time. :) I loved this ride though, and I think everyone should give it a chance, even if they're not a fan of roller coasters. :D

When we got off Crush, it was raining. A lot. So we jumped in the que for Cars which only had a 20 minute wait. :? I really don't know why we bothered, as we could see before we went on that the ride wasn't all that great. :) The Tea Cups in Fantasy Land are much better. All the adults that went on this ride looked bored, but all the kids had a blast. This ride is definatly for kids, and I'd probably only go on it again if there was only a 5 minute wait.

After Cars, the Heavens had opened completely, so we ran to Studio 1 where it seemed that most of the guests in the Park had taken shelter. We bought 2 15th Anniversary rain ponchos ( for 8 Euros each, which I think is great ) and went back out to go in the Art of Disney Animation. :( Sadly, the Disney Cinema Parade has cancelled. We wasn't too upset though, as we were just glad that this rain hadn't happened on Day 1 or Day 2. Both of those days were 100% sunny.

As always, I cried at the Disney video they play in the first show room. Some of the bits they show in that vid are some of my most traumatising Disney moments ( Mrs Jumbo rocking Dumbo through her cage, Bambi's mum getting shot, etc ), but I can never help going into that building and putting myself through that. :) At least we got to see a preview of Ratattouie after the little Mushu show. It looked really good actually, definatly my kind of Pixar film.

After we left AoDA, we decided to go on the Studios Tram Tour, hoping that it had improved since April 2005. It had, but not by much. :) They now had Narnia costumes instead of Pearl Harbor, which was good. And it was interesting to see people actually working in the costume department. There was loads of woman running around doing stuff, which was very interesting.

After the Tram Tour, we decided to have a look around the shops in the Park and then leave to get some food. By then it was about 3:20pm, so we had a change of heart and decided to catch the 3rd and final Once Upon a Dream Parade of our trip. We had to speed walk to get to the place where we were on Day 2, but we stood further up where we knew we could view the Princess stop properly.

It wasn't raining as heavily by now, but the floor was still very wet. By 3:55pm we still couldn't see the orange sun of the first float over the big gates, so we were worried that the Parade had been cancelled. It hadn't though, it was just delayed. To make up for the delay, they sent out a bunch of characters to interact with guests, which was nice. The Parade of Day 3 was probably the best of all days, as they seemed to be using more performers. :P Maybe they were trying to cheer people up because of the bad weather, either way, it worked!

Again, after the Parade had passed, we made our way all the way down to where the Parade ends, just in time to watch it all again. It started to rain heavily again, but no one seemed to mind. ;) Only at Disneyland Paris would you see so many smiling faces during a heavy rain shower. After the Parade, we did some last minute shopping before making our way to McDonald's and then finally our hotel.

After we had picked up our suitcase, we went to look at the Pin Trading Night that was being held. There was so many crazy pin collectors, and a massive que to get vouchers to buy the Pin Trading Night pin. Actually, there was two, so I got one of each and so did mum. :) One's of Bambi and one's of Thumper and Miss Bunny. I traded for a few pins, and my mum surprised me by trading two of her Limited Edition pins for two Limited pins that I badly wanted; the Stitch one dressed as Chernabog from last Halloween, and a Ratigan pin from the Villainous Voyage held by Disney Cruiseline. :D Obviously I was really chuffed, so it was a perfect end to our trip.

 Sadly there was a two hour delay at the airport because of the rain, but considering how perfect the rest of our trip was, we were due at bit of bad luck on the way home.

:P I hope you guys have enjoyed my trip report! I'll probably type up the in-depth report about the Once Upon a Dream Parade later on today, and then I'll let you all know as soon as pictures arrive. :o We've took so many ( almost 200 ) that I can't even remember what they're all off! The films were posted this morning, so fingers crossed, we'll have the pics back next week!

Once again, I can't believe I read all of that :P Glad you loved Crush's Coaster! It just makes me look more and more forward to riding it :) Sounds like there were a lot of characters as well, which is great!

Great to read the 3rd day, too :)

But let me ask you something... you said your mother hates roller coasters, well, I don't really hate them but I'm always scared of them a bit

I love BTM and I'm ok with Indiana Jones, but I never tried SM and R'n'RC. So, in your/your mother's opinion *g*: Would you say Crush's Coaster would be okay for me? I'm really scared of ever trying RnRC, but you said your mother found Crush more scary than it?!?

I'm so confused how frightening Crush is, some people say it's okay, others swear it's not good for children - and I am 22 :D

:D I'm so glad you've all enjoyed reading it!

@ Nala - :P My mum loves BTM too. Her main problem with roller coasters is when they have big drops, or if they're very fast. It gives her the feeling that she can't breathe, which is obviously quite distressing. She actually mostly enjoyed RnRC. The only bit she didn't like was the launch, which is extremely fast. There isn't many dips at all on RnRC, so apart from the launch, she was OK throughout the ride.

:o Her problem with Crush was the part in the East Australian Current. There was a few dips, and it was all very fast. Also, as the cart turned, at some points you ended up looking straight down at the track, as if the cart itself was going to fall off! :) I felt perfectly safe, but my mum felt like she was going to tip out of the cart the whole time, so she would never go on it again. It was that feeling of possibly falling out that made Crush more scary to her than RnRC. As a big fan of roller coasters, I can't really say which one is more/less scary. :P I think you should give RnRC a chance though, and I don't think anyone should miss Crush, as it's too much fun! ;) If my mum can try them, so can you.

@ tubbsy - :( Yes, it did. I decided that everyone deserved to marvel at his greatness, so I left him where he was.

Thanks so much for this trip report, I loved reading it and it's certainly got me even more in the mood for my trip.

Can you tell me anything about the shopping and 15th anniversary merchandising?  What did you buy??   :)
Title:
Post by: Masamune on June 26, 2007, 12:13:45 PM
@ Suzy - :) We found that there was tonnes of 15th Anniversary merchandise to choose from, and all of it was pretty reasonably priced. Here's all the 15th Anniversary stuff me and my mum bought;

2 Pens
2 magnets
2 large boxes
4 15th Anniversary Pins (the oval ones)
A photo album
A small magnetic photo frame
A mini tray thingy (for my gran to put her change in)
A cute mobile phone charm
2 rain ponchos (it rained on the last day)

:o You should look in all the shops, as some had different 15th Anniversary stuff than others.

Once Upon a Dream Parade: Part 1

Dreams of Imagination (Mickey and friends float)

Float: This float is really gorgeous. When it's sunny, the golden sun of the float glitters beautifully. Although I wasn't very fond of the faces on the sun and the moon, it was still a very lovely float. To me, the scent that followed this float smelt like bubbles. But then, that may have been the actual smell of bubbles coming from the bubble machine at the back.
Characters: Pluto, Chip and Dale walked along with this float, and Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy were on the float itself. :) All of their 15th Anniversary costumes were really nice. I especially liked what Chip and Dale were wearing.
Performers: No performers with this float

Dreams of Laughter and Fun (Alice/Pinocchio float)

Float:  Obviously, I loved this float. The Cheshire Cat is lay down on the right hand side of the float, so I took a few good pictures of him. The Alice side of the float was great. Alice blinked and moved her eyes, and the March Hare would call out in French when Alice moved the cup with him sat in it!

The Pinocchio side of the float wasn't great, as it was a bit plain. On Day 3 though, they had bungee artists attached to the float, which made it like 10 times better!
Characters: At the front, the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts were accompanied by some playing cards; one of every suit. On Day 2 and Day 3, the White Rabbit was there too. The Mad Hatter was brilliant, running around and getting right in people's faces so they could take pictures. He had a laugh just like the Mad Hatter in the film, but it was his REAL laugh and not a recording coming from the float!

Pinocchio was stood on his part of the float, but no Geppetto!
Performers: The people dressed as cards were kind of like performers, as during the Parade stop they were dancing in unison, which was great. The performers on the Pinocchio side were stilt-walkers who had puppets much like from Stromboli's show in the film. :) They were really awesome, and there was 3 of them on all 3 days.

Dreams of Friendship (Toy Story/Winnie the Pooh float)

Float: I was a bit worried about this float, as I wasn't sure how Pixar would translate into such a classic Disney parade. I wasn't worried for long though, as both sides of this float were great. Both sides were very detailed. The Toy Story side had a working Etch-a-Sketch on the right hand side, which I loved because it brought back many childhood memories.

The Winnie the Pooh side was adorable, and I thought it was a nice touch that they had made it look like the 100 Acre Woods was celebrating the party properly, with decorations and cake. :D The Pooh side of the float smelt fruity to me!
Characters: On the Toy Story side, Buzz and Woody were sat on the float. On Day 3, Jessie was there too. :P I could see many excited little boys trying to grab Buzz's attention. On the Winnie the Pooh side, Pooh himself was stood on the float, and he was followed by Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet. All the Pooh characters were wearing party hats, which was very cute. :D And on Day 1 and 2, Tigger was wearing some bouncing shoe things and he was bouncing very high as he went along.
Performers: In front of the Toy Story side, Green Army Men were dancing along. There was 3 on Days 1 and 2 and 4 on Day 3. :D I love Green Army Men, and the people dressed as these guys were brilliant. One minute they were marching along all serious, and then they were doing the can-can!

Dreams of Fantasy (Peter Pan/Mary Poppins float)

Float: This float was VERY impressive. Although it isn't among my fave floats, it was definatly one of the "wow" floats, because of how detailed and big it seemed. There was lots of talking/singing going on with this float, so the characters on it were very interactive. The Peter Pan side was brilliant, and the boat kept making noises of shooting off cannon balls, accompanied by smoke and lighting effects.

The Mary Poppins side was beautiful, and the carousel actually moved! It was a tad plain in regards to other floats, but I've always loved the carousel in Mary Poppins so I loved this side very much.
Characters: On the Peter Pan side, Peter Pan and Wendy moved around the boat and Big Ben. The guy playing Peter Pan on Days 1 and 2 was gorgeous. :( He was supposed to be some scary ginger-haired guy, and he was actually better looking than some of the Princes! I was so confused. Walking ahead of the Peter Pan side was Captain Hook, Smee and some pirates. On the Mary Poppins side, Mary rode the carousel whilst Bert danced around her. The songs "Jolly Holiday" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (I spelt it phonetically) were played with the float, so Mary and Bert mimed to it. :D It was all very convincing, just like being in the film itself! Following the Mary side were some adorable Penguins from the film.
Performers: The pirates that ran along with Hook and Smee at the front of the float were also flag twirlers. They were really good, and highly entertaining too. The song "Step in Time" played as part of the Mary Poppins side, but they actually danced to it! I really loved that, as where else would you see pirates dancing to a Mary Poppins song?

:P I'll go over the last 4 floats later. It's almost Midday and I haven't had breakfast yet.

hey, my cousin is a drunken pirate in the parade with hook :D.my auntie saw it and sed it was really really good. I go to disney in 2 months and 1 day with my cousin and we r staying in the santa fe hotel. small question: Is the luggage hold in the station for everyone who comes off the eurostar and do they deliver ur luggage to ur hotel.  :D   ???
Title:
Post by: Masamune on June 26, 2007, 05:25:53 PM
@ giorgio - :) Some scents were stronger than others, but when you got a whiff of any of them, it was very exciting. I know it sounds weird to get excited over smells, but I was just so surprised by them that when I actually started to smell them, I was really thrilled.

@ Tigger/Nemo - :D That's awesome! Sadly, I know nothing about the Eurostar, as I've never used it. :o All I know is that the train station is right next to the shuttle buses that take you to the hotels, so you won't have to take your luggage very far.

Sounds great! This parade is definitely going to be a "must-do" next time I visit! :D
Title:
Post by: Masamune on June 26, 2007, 10:44:01 PM
:D It's definatly worth seeing on every day of your visit, as the number of performers/characters per float varied on all 3 days we saw it. :) And it's also worth viewing it in 3 different spots, and definatly seeing it once on the left hand side and once on the right.
Title:
Post by: tubbsy on June 27, 2007, 07:55:26 AM
I dont know if my little one would stand/sit for the parade three times. But I like your advice Masamune. Maybe I'll have to do it and meet up with them-let my hubby take littlun on Small World three times instead! :D
Title:
Post by: Masamune on June 27, 2007, 12:43:40 PM
:D That's a perfect idea, as it's the spot right next to It's a Small World (where the Parade begins) that we viewed the Princess stop. :) If you stand right on the corner where the floats turn, you'll get to see Cinderella/Charming and Aurora/Phillip dancing, and if you stand further down the road, you'll see Snow White/her Prince and Jasmine/Aladdin dancing. Belle/Beast and Ariel/Eric remain on their floats. :P You could stand and watch the Parade whilst your hubby and child go on It's a Small World. Or, if not, there's a bench right on the corner I mentioned. You wouldn't be able to see through the crowds if you sat there, but your child and hubby could sit there whilst you watched if they wanted to.

Hehe thank you for the encouraging words :)! But I guess I'm pretty similar to your mum: It's also (or especially) the big drops that I'm afraid of, loopings f.e. aren't that bad for me...
But I wonder that RnRC could be "softer" than Crush? Is it so? Has your mother already tried Space Mountain?

I told myself I'd try SM and Crush this year, no matter what happens, I want(ed) to "jump over my shadow" (do you say that in English?!) and just try them so that I can talk about it. But now that I read what happened to the poor 14 year old girl on RnRC I'm so demotivated and scared :( Was it that your mother thought she couldn't breathe on Crush or "just" the feeling she would fall off it?
Title:
Post by: Masamune on June 27, 2007, 05:04:42 PM
:) Crush is definatly softer than RnRC, like RnRC is definatly softer than SM:M2. My mum tried Space Mountain and Space Mountain: Mission 2. She hated Mission 2, there's no way I'd be able to get her back on that. It was just too fast for her, and you get rocked from side to side a lot on SM:M2, so she didn't like that either.

:o We don't have that saying in England, but I know what you mean. :) My reasoning to my mum to get her to try those rides was simply that there would be no harm in trying. :( Of course, like you say, it's scary that someone died on RnRC. But I believe that's a VERY isolated incident that'll probably never happen again on the same ride.

:P My mum didn't have any of those feelings she gets on proper roller coasters. She never lost her breath or anything like that. She just had the feeling that she was going to fall out. I think that's because there wasn't the added protection of an over-head buckle thing. Crush only has a padded bar that goes between yours legs. :D I felt perfectly safe though, as I do on all rides at DLRP.

It's totally up to you though whether or not you decide to go on any of these rides. I don't want to be responsible for you trying them and then hating them. :P Hopefully, if you do decide to try them, you'll love them. And if you don't, at least you can say you've tried them! ;) My mum is actually proud of herself for trying Mission 2 and RnRC.

@ ailsa - :D 5 weeks isn't too far away!

Once Upon a Dream Parade: Part 2

Dreams of Power (Villains float)

Float: This float is seriously incredible. From Chernabog flexing his wings to the strong smell of fire and smoke, this float had many guests watching with their mouths wide open. Although I wish it were able to hold more real characters, the animatronic characters definatly make up for that. The animatronic Scar alone is probably my most favourite thing in the entire parade. He's all furry and ragged, and he blinks, moves his head and claws...and he sings! We were lucky enough for this float to be passing right by us as Scar started singing Be Prepared. It was absolutely fantastic, I was so impressed!
Characters: The only human characters on this float were Maleficent and the Evil Queen from Snow White. Maleficent's 15th Anniversary dress is absolutely stunning! It's made to look like she's on fire, and the detail on the dress is incredible. :( Sadly, the woman playing Maleficent was quite fugly, which I don't understand because Maleficent is a very elegant and beautiful fairy in the film. The Evil Queen was gorgeous. She had such an evil face, but she was beautiful, and her outfit was lovely too.
Performers: In front of the float there was a group of performers (3 on Days 1 and 2 and 4 on Day 3) dressed up like fire, much like Maleficent's dress. They had these fire spinning things. :P Not real fire, but like fire ribbons. They were really good, and of all the performers, I think they were the ones that got most into it. They were growling and sneering at people and trying to scare children by waving the fire ribbons near them.

Behind the float, a brilliant pair of performers disguised as seaweed each held up a puppet of Ursula's pet eels. One was holding up Flotsam and the other was holding up Jetsam. It was so clever how they worked them, as the eel's mouths moved and their bodies moves just like eels. :D

Dreams of Adventure (Lion King/Jungle Book float)

Float: For some reason, this was the float that made me want to cry happy tears. The start of The Lion King film always makes me cry happy tears, so that may have had something to do with it. :) This float was just so amazing. Of all the floats, this one was probably the most detailed, and the one that brought the biggest smile to people's faces. The smell of fruit was strong, the colours on the float were vibrant and there was characters all over it! Of course, the Lion King side was my favourite. The animatronic Simba was almost as impressive as the animatronic Scar, as he moved his head and bopped to the beat of all the songs that were played.

The Jungle Book side was great too, and of all the floats, I think these two sides fitted together the best. :P I got excited when I spotted the Shere Khan statue up in the tree on the Jungle Book's side.
Characters: As I said, this float was full of characters. There was Timon and Rafiki on the Lion King side, and Baloo and King Louie on the Jungle Book side. And of course, there was plenty of non-real characters. Simba, Pumbaa, Kaa and Shere Khan were all there. I don't remember spotting Bagheera, so someone will have to look for him and let me know if he's there or not.
Performers: This float was full of performers too! On the float itself, there were two black men on either side playing the drums and blowing whistles and such. They were really getting people into the spirit of what that float represented! :D On the Lion King side, there was people dressed as ostriches, an elephant and a giraffe. I never saw all of these 3 together in the same Parade, but I saw them all over the 3 days separately.

On the Jungle Book side, there was probably the most entertaining performers of the whole parade. Two men dressed as the vultures from the Jungle Book. Their costumes were fabulous, but it's what they were doing that made them such a joy to watch. :D They were on these spring shoe things, much like what Tigger used during the Parade. These guys were insanely talented though, and they were jumping all around and doing tricks in the air. :P We were lucky enough to view the Adventures stop, so we got like 5 minutes of them jumping around. They were really good, and they didn't look out of breath at all, even though what they were doing must've been very hard. Especially in the hot weather!

Dreams of Romance: Part 1 (Ariel/Jasmine float)

Float: :P Of course, these were the floats that everyone was really waiting for. The first Romance float was just beautiful. The cherubs from Fantasia were on it, which I thought was a nice touch. Ariel's Grotto was very pretty, as was Jasmine's swing. Both fitted together perfectly, as if those Princesses were somehow in the same films. Both these floats made it hard for me to accept the Dreams of Power float as my fave.
Characters: :) On this float there was Ariel and Eric, and Jasmine and Aladdin. ;) If you want lots of lovely Princess attention, before to have kids planted all around you. Even though they'll be waving at the kids, you can pretend that they're waving at you instead. I thought Jasmine being on a swing was a lovely touch. It was nice when A Whole New World played and Aladdin and Jasmine mimed it together. All the Princesses were very much into the songs they had to mime. It was all very convincing. :)

At the Princess stop, a lovely little waterfall started at Ariel's Grotto, whilst Jasmine and Aladdin got off to dance along with Snow White and her Prince from the 2nd float. Since they couldn't get off to dance, Ariel and Eric took the time to blow kisses at kids and pose for photos, which was nice.
Performers: Between Romance Part 1 and Part 2, there were some flower dancers. *Will talk about them in the next part*

Dreams of Romance: Part 2 (Belle/Snow White/Cinderella/Aurora float)

Float: This float is just so big and beautiful, you would think it could be in a parade all on its own if needed. :D Everything on this float represents each Princess in some way, from the giant roses that represent Belle to the lovely little woodland bridge that Snow White and her Prince stand on. :P All the characters here seemed very much in love, so all I was thinking as I looked at each couple was "aww!". They moved about the float too, as the float was big enough for them to do that.

 look out for the cute little purple dragon at the back of the float as it passes.
Characters: On this float there was Belle and Beast, Snow White and her Prince, Cinderella and Prince Charming and Aurora and Prince Phillip. All their 15th Anniversary outfits were stunning! I especially loved Prince Phillip's outfit. ;) Very dashing. All of them were beautiful. :P Some more so than others as they varied over the 3 days. The Belle we saw on Day 3 was just gorgeous! Probably the most beautiful Princess I've ever seen, after the Snow White I met on Day 2.

During the Princess stop, Cindy and Charming and Aurora and Phillip danced in one area while Snow White and her Prince moved further down to dance with Jasmine and Aladdin. The dancing was brilliant, it was just like watching a part of one of their films. I was half expecting Aurora's dress to change from pink to blue as she and Philip danced. Belle and Beast remained on the float and did their own little dance, which was nice.
Performers: Accompanying both floats were some pink-haired women who were dressed in flowery dresses and were holding up flower banners. :D They were all very pretty, and they complimented the very flowery floats well.

 Yay, that was my final report! :) I hope the way I've described the parade has done it justice. :P But obviously, it'll be a million times better when you see it for yourself!

Wow, I love the detail you put in, makes me want to go even more!! Thanks for putting all this effort in, it has been really appreciated.

P.S If you like the opening of the Lion King film, you should try and see it live at the theatre - the Circle of Life is possibly one of the best pieces of theatre I have seen - astounding!!

Masamune - I've loved reading your trip report soooooo much, thanks a lot.  (I can't wait to go now!!!!!)  I hope you know that we really appreciate all the effort you've put in.

Nala - I'm so lke you with roller coasters, to be honest BTM scares me.  I feel like I am falling out all the time -  I would enjoy the actual ride if I didn't feel like that, I think.  So I'm wary of Crush but will have to try it once at least.  I have said to the family that I will try Space Mountain too, because hopefully being more restrained will make me feel "safe".  I'll let you all know when I get back what I managed to do!   :)

In two albums wich I bought there. Which picture size can your album hold? 10x15? 13x18? Or maybe are in it just paper sheets where you can stick pictures?

:o I think it's the 10x15 ones. It's my mum who deals with photo sizes, I'll just be dealing with uploading all the best ones for everyone on here to see. :)

Great report Masamune - I'm off in  just over 3 weeks and your report has really got me in the mood! (not that I wasn't already!)

As for photos...I went on a day trip in December so was only there about 4 hours and still took over 200 photos :D  But that's the wonder of digital cameras.

:P Everyone seems to be going in a few weeks... take me back with you!

I got fed up of using our Digital camera, as the pictures from the disposeable ones always come out better it seems. :) So this year we bought a lovely new camera which uses film. Hopefully, all the pictures we took will turn out great.

Look forward to seeing your photos.

:D Yes, that's probably why I like 11 so much too. :P It was just very nice (albeit weird) to see two totally different characters from different films having a joke with each other.

 I'll be off to bed soon, so more photos tomorrow. I'm going to try and upload at least 20 everytime I jump online, so hopefully all the the ones I want to upload will be up by the end of the week. :)

Hey, the pics are so great, thanks for the big work to upload so many :)!

Watching them makes me wanna go there right at this moment... really, really nice!!

How exactly does the stops of the Character Express work? Are there different stops (locations) where you have to stand in a queue and wait for a pic? I can only imagine thousands of people with little children who want to have a pic

:) The Character Parade starts at the bottom of Main Street and goes all the way up to where the 15th Anniversary stage is. It parks in front of the castle, then all the characters get off and spread out to 3 or 4 corners, where they spread out some more. Obviously some characters have bigger crowds than others. I couldn't get anywhere near Buzz, and my feet were stepped on so much whilst I was trying to get pictures took with Stitch and Timon. :o You just have to be patiant, and hope that the spot you've picked at the top of Main Street is a spot that characters are gonna go to.

i have enjoyed reading about your trip so much! i cant wait to go! Scar looks amazing i am looking forward to the parade so much. I absolutly love the song, i think i might actualy explode because of excitment when i see the parade. Your photos look brilliant. I had such a bad experince with disposable cams though, on my first trip me and my sister filled 6 disposables each and when we got the pics back less then half of them had come out because they were all under exposed! I was totaly devistated!

I laughed when i saw that you cried during the art of annimation, i cryed my heart out too! I even well up just thinking about it! its bambi that gets me the most!! I saw winter wonderland last time i went and when minnie and micky come out in their gorgeous costumes and danced i was in floods of tears!! lol my sister thought i was insaine!!
Title:
Post by: Masamune on July 08, 2007, 05:43:05 PM
 :( Eek, I'd be gutted too if the disposeable pics didn't come out. :) Maybe you should invest in a normal camera like we did? Pretty much all the pics on every film turned out great. The only ones that came out a bit dark were the ones we took of the castle when it was going dark, and some of the Tarzan show pics (which was also dark). So that makes sense.

 There's two bits during the Art of Animation film that get me going. The bit where Bambi's mum is shot, as it then shows other sad bits with Baby Mine playing. That part of Dumbo (where his mum is rocking him through the cage door) is my saddest Disney moment ever, and like you, I well up just thinking about it! And then the other part of that film that's sad is when it's showing other dramatic Disney moments, like Mufasa's death and when Baloo looks dead. That film traumatises me everytime, but I can't get enough of it.

:P More pictures coming up soon!

Post by: madame_leota on July 08, 2007, 05:52:35 PM
yeah it was such a shame about our pics, i had a new video cam that year too and i took it, recorded the fantilusion parade, it was AMAZING and when i played it back there was something wrong with the tape so it was all fuzzy and crackley.

SO upsetting!!

on the other hand every other time i have been our photos have been amazing!!  i think i might start a new thread for peoples holiday pics, if there isnt one already that is....

that bit where mufasa dies upsets me too!!

Awww its just all so amazing it totaly overwhelms me sometimes and i just wanna cry!! i cry nearly everytime we leave too! i am such a cry baby!!
Title:
Post by: Masamune on July 08, 2007, 06:10:08 PM
:P At least you've had amazing pics ever since!

 And Disney is really the only thing I cry over. I can sit there and watch films involving REAL PEOPLE and not shed a tear, but when an animated lion dies I can't stop myself!

Aww, the princes(ses) pics are so nice!! :)

I love the Dumbo ride pics of you and your mum - the backgrounds make it look fast and funny :)! Your mum looks so young - how old are you?!

It's really fun to look at your pics, I also wanna be at DLRP now!! ;)

Hehe I don't know, I thought she may be something between mid/end of 30?! But that would maybe be too young as mother of a twennie *g* I'm 22 and my mom is 46, almost all of my friends say "You've got such a young mother" *g*! But cool that she joins you to DLRP, it's always great when mothers stay young and full of energy ;)!

And no problem for the pics compliments, we have to thank you for scanning sooo many great pictures! :)

:P She's 44, so she's very pleased that you thought she was mid/late 30's.

:D And yeah, I think it's great that DLRP is something we can both enjoy.

 I got all the pics developed from the film on to CDs. I think I would've died trying to scan so many pictures!

Very nice pics again. Your mother shouldn't be ashamed of that you posted pics of her. She looks great and indeed very young. The pic of her at the Dumbo ride is very beautiful. And I loved the pics 120 and 123, they're lovely.

 I tell her that, but she's just silly. :P She says thank you though for the compliments.

:D And seriously, that Snow White was even prettier in real life. And she was so sweet and pleasant! :) She wished me a nice day and everything.

yeah some of the Princesses can be very sweet. On my last trip I met Ariel and Eric and Belle. I had the chance for a little Chit Chat with them. They were all very nice and friendly. And I totally loved Belle. She told me that she had recgonized me from the day before, where I had seen her in the Parade. She really was lovely. And I really know how you felt as you met Snow White. For me it was just the same with Belle.  :D

:P I feel very lucky to have met Snow White, Cinderella and Prince Charming. :o It may not ever happen again, so I'll always treasure that experience.

:D I'm sure you feel the same about your Princess encounter.
