I'm considering getting annual passes but trying to get an idea first of home much room only booing are. I've read that people use Expedia, hotels.com, etc for room only bookings but when I look on these websites all the options say 'Disney tickets included' and the prices are similar to the official DLP website....what am I doing wrong? Can you genuinely book room only on external sites? I'm looking for the main Disney hotels (Newport, Sequoia, etc)
If I want to book room-only on expedia.com I do the following:
1. Go to expedia.com
2. Select Hotels in the top menu
3. Enter Davy Crockett in the search bar and select "Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch, Bailly-Romainvilliers, France"
4. Select dates and persons (let's say Feb 1st, 2019 - Feb 4th, 2019, 2 adults, 1 kid (age 10)
5. Click "search"
6. Options are: $ 183 per night without tickets, $330 with tickets.
Don't know how else to explain :)
Thanks for your reply - I had been doing exactly as you suggested but it actually seems to be related to what dates you search for on Expedia, for example if I search for Newport Bay hotel for 4 nights in January 2019 I get the option to book with tickets (£845) or without (£632), however, if I put in dates in May 2019 the only choice is with park tickets at a cost of £1225.
Just wondered why this was.
