We are looking to stay at the pink Disneyland hotel and found an offer that includes free premium half board. Would the breakfast be the normal cooked premium breakfast in the restaurant or is it a grab and go one even in this hotel?
It is in the hotel - at least I really hope so, as we're going in November and I'll be angry if we need to have the park breakfast!
Is that this november? I had a strange response from online chat with disney who said that for Feb 19 it would be pick up from en coulisse in park, or I could ask at reception each morning and if a table available could have that at no additional cost. that's quite a difference!
I have to say I was under the impression that if you get a free half board plan as part of a deal then, yes, it's a park breakfast no matter what hotel you stay in. This has been the case since they made breakfast an added extra with the hotel stay.
Of course if you buy your meal plan then it's a hotel breakfast.
Good Evening! We've just come back from 'The Pink Hotel' two weeks ago and although expecting a park breakfast every day due to having the free half board offer, was advised at check in that we could dine in the hotel every morning. I did query it to ensure I understood, but we had absolutely no issues. Whether this was the infamous pixie dust or not, I can't say. Hope this is of some use and have a great trip. X
Perfect, that is what I was advised so good to know it is a possiblity. We're not going till Feb 2020 (booked through magicbreaks as the disney site doesn't have those dates at moment). I will contact the hotel before we go (I normally email which has worked well for pixie dust in the past).
I emailed DLH to clarify the breakfast situation for our trip in November. Got a reply saying that although the offer says counter service breakfast in the park we will be able to have hotel breakfast at no extra charge. Good to know.
Oh my life! This hotel is supposed to be what? 4 star? I should jolly well think you can eat your breakfast in the hotel dining room! It is part of the stay surely? My opinion btw, no need for nasty comments.

To stop the hotel restaurants getting overly busy during periods when the free half board meal plan offer was on, they changed it to a park breakfast. Of course if you bought your meal plan you had a hotel breakfast. If the hotel occupancy isn't high they often allow people to have a hotel breakfast instead - you're supposed to pay for the upgrade but that's up to the hotel's discretion.
We're going Feb Half term (well for my kids schools) so it may be busy but in fairness I'm happy to pay for the upgrade if thats the only option. Guess I'll have to just wait till we're there!
We have just returned from the Disneyland hotel and even with the free premium half board and booking directly, breakfast was counter service and no longer in the hotel. We did query it but they were very clear that you would have to pay to eat breakfast in the hotel and given what we had paid to stay there we did not feel that it was good value for money. The policy seems to have changed mid October based on reviews I found on tripadvisor. Pretty terrible for a 5* hotel in my opinion and as someone who has visited Disneyland a lot I thought it was ridiculous and rather embarrassing as the amount of complaints they are receiving as a result creates quite a negative view of the Disneyland Hotel and Disneyland Paris in general and that's coming from someone who loves it!
Yeah this is again the issue with the free half board deal being a separate issue as such from where you're staying. The rule has always been you're only entitled to a park breakfast with free half board and its up to the discretion of the hotel whether or not you can eat there. It really is more luck than anything.
This is being changed back across all hotels sometime next year to breakfast in the Hotel.

Hi aj2703 where did you get this info from please? I'm just trying to plan a trip for New Year 2020 and have a few concerns re dining plans and breakfast TIA
As of April 2019, the free half/full board breakfast will be in your hotel. Until that time, the breakfast is counter service in the park. In quieter times when the breakfast isn't busy, the hotel may allow you to eat in the hotel for breakfast, but this is not guaranteed and is very unlikely in busy times.
