Title: Eurostar via Lille
Post by: Michelleob on August 09, 2018, 09:59:01 PM
Hi,
I'm travelling to DLP by Eurostar in a few weeks but it isnt direct. I've read all about the change and the trains.
I haven't told my children and plant to surprise them with a big reveal and a bag of goodies to get them excited.
I've read that Eurostar direct gives out goodie bags and has a band playing and is very Disney themed. What I am wondering is do you get the same treatment on the non-direct trains?
Its not that I must have it, im just wondering when to do the big reveal to my kids.
Thank you for any advise :)

No special treatment on the trains via Lille I'm afraid, but you can do your big reveal on arrival that way...just let them start spotting Disney stuff when you arrive & wait for the coin to drop  :D

When we went on the direct Eurostar last year the only way you could tell we were going to Disney was that lots of the passengers were wearing Disney t-shirts and Minnie ears, and the boarding area was full of over-excited kids. There was nothing 'extra' I'm afraid, so it may be better to plan a reveal yourself.

The direct train used to give out goody bags for kids but hasn't done that for a long while now.

Tbh the indirect one is cheaper, not much longer and can get you to the park earlier so it's starting to become my preferred method!
