Title: Does anyone ever cancel dining reservations.
Post by: MinniesTeaParty on December 08, 2017, 10:26:33 PM
We weren't successful in getting a reservation for Inventions anytime during our upcoming 4-day visit. Does anyone know if reservations ever open up close to the date? Does anyone ever cancel? Is it worth calling again?

Also how do reservations work for breakfast with characters? We are staying onsite at the Santa Fe and Cheyenne, but we booked through a third-party site. I don't know if that makes a difference. We arrive Monday night.

Thank you for advice.

You can make reservations through the concierge desk of your hotel, regardless of how you booked.
If you want to make reservations before arrival, you can just call the reservation line, they don't need your reservation number, just a name, so booking your vacation through a 3rd party does not make a difference in that regard.

It's always worth trying. We cancelled Chez Remy only a few hours before the allocated time, I called the reservations line so apologetic but they said it wasn't a problem at all, they can always fill cancellations at a moments notice.

we've made reservations and then forgotten about them, so its worth checking.

As others say, it is definitely worth checking. I have cancelled reservations during a trip before - because we changed our minds about where to eat, or because someone in our group was ill.
