Title: Special Activities Service
Post by: mickeyspal on October 11, 2017, 04:54:27 PM
Has anyone used the special activities service for booking surprise gifts in hotel rooms, and how long did it take for Disney to reply to your email request?

I have emailed 3 times now with 2 automatic responses that someone from the team will be in touch, with a quote for my request. I first emailed them over a week ago but I'm still waiting for them to actually email me back. Is this normal to wait this long or am I just being impatient.

I emailed a question on Monday and got a response this morning. Have you checked your junk mail folder as for some reason mine went to the junk folder instead of my main inbox

Since you are staying in the Castle Club you can e-mail or telephone the front desk who will deal directly with any requests you have. You will also receive complimentary gifts in your rooms, usually a toy for the little one, champagne, chocolates, flowers, fruit and often an exclusive cup or small ornament.

Thanks for your reply.
I didn't know about the complimentary gifts, the items you mentioned are exactly what I asked for. We have 2 birthdays during our stay and my request was for cake and champagne in the rooms on arrival, also a personalised soft toy for my grandson as this will be his first visit. I'm going to phone the hotel and try and order the gifts. :)

The Castle Club are fantastic when it comes to extra magic. If you mention that you are celebrating birthdays they will probably fill the room with bunches of balloons at no extra cost.

Finally received email from Disney;  they will have our gifts ready for us when we arrive, the only thing they can't do is pesonalise the plush toy, but not a problem. :) :)
