We are doing our meal planning for our January trip (4 nights) and have collectively decided we want to eat at Captain Jacks, Annettes, King Ludwigs and Inventions (which we always do on the last night).
We've eaten at Ludwigs before and liked it - as a vegetarian it's got more options than many other places, and it is reasonably priced. However I don't think I've ever booked before - does anyone know if it is possible to do so?
I'll call to book Captain Jacks and Inventions in Nov, and obviously you can't book Annettes, but we usually manage to get in OK.
Lunches will be Toad Hall, Bella Notte, Fuente del Oro and probably some rubbish option in the Studios one day! We try to avoid lunchtimes in the studios because the counter service options are so feeble, but it always seems to happen at least once.
As far as I can recall you actually CAN book King Ludwig's even though several other restaurants in the Village can't be pre-booked. You certainly used to be able to so it's definitely worth asking.
Planet Hollywood, Rainforest Cafe and Annette's can't be pre-booked from what I recall.
Yes, Ludwigs can be booked. We did it in August.
When we went a few years ago we booked either earlier in the day or the day before, although tbh we didn't need to as there were only about 4 other tables in there!
