Title: Princesses Help - Magic Hours
Post by: gb1983 on September 06, 2017, 04:29:53 PM
I would love my daughter to meet the princesses so we can get pics but the lunch seems very pricey and we are on a budget.

I wanted to know if we have access to the magic hours - do people tend to queue up before the meet and greet starts at the palace - would we still be expected to wait a long time.

When meeting the princess can we take our own photos or do we have to buy the professional ones.

Really confused as I dont want to be waiting for more than an hour in the queue

Any tips??

I havent done the Princess Pavillion but

1.Yes depending on the crowds people do start to line up during EMH

2. Disney change the requirements all the time, so Im sure someone who has been recently will help out. Sometimes they have a Fastpass system in operation BUT people still line up at the Fastpass machines during EMH, as these machines are not open during EMH

3. Waiting an hour is the normal wait time, most wait times for the Princess are longer

4. Yes you can take your own photos, with your own camera or phone. You can also ask the CM to take a photo using your camera or phone

There's no fastpass for the Princess Pavilion anymore, well not that I've heard, they stopped it a while back, so you just have to queue.  Best thing to do is get in when the park opens and get in the queue first thing.  There's no way to avoid queuing unfortunately, you just have to grit your teeth and do it.  You see a lot of Dads on their own in the queue and then mums and daughters join them a bit later on!

You can give your camera to the cast member when you go in to see the princess, they will take photos for you no problem.  They are great about taking photos for you, it's not frowned upon.  The professional photographer will take photos for you as well but you don't have to buy them.

The princess lunch is expensive but it is a convenient way to meet a lot of princesses in a short space of time so that you don't have to waste a lot of time queueing in the pavilion.

Ditto. Taking photos on your own phone/ camera is OK everywhere. We have had CM and the sweepers taking photos everywhere. Princess Pavillion,  the waits are long...4 1/2 hours one December for Elsa and Anna together! Bring a book!

Just to note that the Princess Pavilion is included in the new Extra Magic hours. Although I'd get there at 9am as I still expect it to be really busy!

This is the price for a lunch with the princesses. You will need to book in advance, they get very busy. You go to lunch and as you are seated each princess in the restaurant that sitting will take a turn at your table.  :)
