Title: Trip Planning Help!
Post by: petals on August 29, 2017, 03:33:36 PM
Just wondering when the different sites like .de, .fr, .co.uk or .ie release offers are the dates of the offers generally the same across all the sites or can the dates vary?

We have flights booked and a hotel at the airport for night before the flight but haven't booked our Disney part as we were waiting for the Winter 20% off and free HB.  I see that the .de site has already released this but it's for the 7th Jan onwards which  means when we try to book we can't get the offer as we fly on the 6th!  :(

I'm not sure when the other country's offers start but the UK one is usually September time.  I'm waiting on that one coming out myself.

If the offer starts on the 7th and you fly on the 6th, you could always book a cheap hotel room for the night of the 6th, somewhere nearby, like the BnB.  We always arrive the day before our Disney holiday starts because it means on the first day of your Disney holiday, you can arrive refreshed at your hotel first thing in the morning, get your tickets and be in the park when it opens!

Fingers crossed the UK or Irish offer will include the 6th. We deliberately booked that way because of the Christmas stuff and seeing how much of it there is there's no way we'll get it done in a day! :(

I never look for offers, early in the year I looked at prices for mid September no offers the price £620 for 3 nights,
looked again about 2 months later offer was free half board, tho price £800,looked today offer 30% off,the price £740,so Disney are really not offering anything free.

We usually take the 2night free offer and pay for meal plan as works out a lot cheaper for us, plus you get the buffet breakfast rather than park breakfast if pay for it

Last time the 20% plus free meals saves us a tonne. We were hoping for the same offer

It should be coming on soon, I'm also waiting for that offer. .

Ditto! Normally I take the extra days and nights free but that's no good when you want a shorter trip.

We spent the day trying to figure this out. Does anyone remember if last year the 20% off and free meal plan was limited to start at a certain time? I know on the German site atm it's starting on the 7th of January but wondering next month will that be different if the same offer is on uk and Irish sites.

Also if we have free meal plan we can't eat breakfast in the hotel but if we pay for meal plan we can is this correct?

Also is earl of sandwich and planet hollywood included as meal plan restaurants. I thought they weren't but was looking at a site tonight that give vouchers for these if you book through them.

I don't remember about the offer but people seem to expect it will cover the Christmas period.

Yes, the free meal plan means you don't have a hotel breakfast unless you book a club room where breakfast is included.

Planet Hollywood and Earl of Sandwich aren't included in meal plans but as they're chain restaurants vouchers for them are available elsewhere.

Thanks. I have no idea whether we should book now or wait to see if the free meal plan offer covers our dates. The offer on the German site doesn't plus my trip buddy wants to have breakfast in the hotel without paying to much extra on top of the voucher so it seems to make more sense for us not to wait  but I'm torn  :-\
