Hi. I have Fantasy Passports that expire in May. Just before the new prices came into place I bought three Dream passports and it says that if you renew within 2 months from the expiry date you will be given 6 extra months. When I renewed the Fantasy Passports I was given the extra months but this time, from Fantasy to Dream I was not given the extra months. Anybody can help? Will be at Disneyland tomorrow and will check it out but want to ask if there is anybody in he same boat as myself. Thanks!
I'm not sure if I understand the question completely, but as far as I know the following is correct:
- you can renew your AP if it is due to expire in the following two months;
- if you renewed on or before the 28th of March, 2017, you got six months for free when renewing (so a total of 18 months);
- if you renewed on or after the 29th of March, 2017 (or in the future), you get four months for free when renewing (so a total of 16 months.
I renewed a week before March 29th but upgraded from Fantasy to Dream. Maybe that is the reason why extra months were not given. I will go to the passport office this week and ask. many thanks!!
Hmm, the upgrade might be the reason.
I renewed my Dream beginning of March (while valid till April 30th), and I also got the 6 extra months.
Yeah I suspect it's because it was an upgrade not a renewal. It would seem a bit too generous for them to add on six months to a better pass. The six months extra was always super generous in the first place!
Seems strange. We downgraded and still got our 6 months added.
Went to the passport Office last week and all is settled. I was given the extra 6 months. It was just a genuine mistake from their side.
