Title: Annual pass dilemma
Post by: Fixiepixie on February 26, 2017, 12:42:57 PM
Hi all.
My family are going to dip in June, we have decided to get annual passes as we will do return trips, we're staying for a week and with the discounts this all add up to it being worthwhile .
I was talking to Disney directly about buying the passes over the phone in advance ,but it'll start from when I order them on the phone rather than the day we go. I think it's worth doing now as I'm a bit uneasy about the changes to the annual passes in March (mainly prices)
I guess I'm just looking for some reassurances that it's the right choice and do you think all the benefits will be honoured? As we are staying in explorers and I want the emh in the mornings

you could try contacting supertrips.net or discount-ticket-store and asking when their vouchers have to be used by and if they know anything about the new passes. They send vouchers that you exchange in the park for APs, which start from they day you exchange them.

Also, you could contact Disney and tell them you have bought (or are going to buy) vouchers to exchange for APs and you want to check they will still be valid.

Please let us know if you find out any useful information.

Hello, I bought my annual passes from Supertrips last year and the vouchers they send are valid for 6 months from date of purchase. I think I bought mine in March and used them in June as there was a sale on. I know other people who have done this with absolutely no trouble. If you're uneasy then contact Supertrips and confirm.

To second what Rhubarbed said, we used ours from Supertrips last week without any issues

I have recently purchased Fantasy FP via disney and i have recieved the temporary passes and on the back it says that they have to be exchanged for the permanent passes by 19/08/17 (6 months). We asked several times and was told that they are valid a year from the day you exchange your vouchers but they must be done within 6 months. We are going on the 12/08/17 so will be valid a year from then

Well I checked out my options and decided to buy them from Disney.as the new passes are out the end of the month and the list of perks came up a couple of days ago and wasn't too impressed.
I decided to buy the dream passes before the end of the month. I know I'm gonna miss a couple of months since they validate from the day of purchase but I'm happy with it.
Thanks everyone for your help xx

I was under the impression they run from the day you exchange your voucher, not the day you pay for them. You have 6 months to trade in your voucher at the park.

If you decide to have your APs delivered at home, they are valid from the date of processing.

Is there the option to buy from Disney and not have them processed and delivered? We would want to buy now, but not activate them until mid August.

Yes, you will get vouchers and then have them exchanged within 6 months at the Passeports Annuels offices at DLP.

Actually the girl on the phone said I'd 6months to validate them.i payed it upfront if that makes a difference.maybe it is like the vouchers. I've to ring them back about something else Ill just double check.
I just assumed it was from the date of issue because a girl at Disney I discussed it with the week before said it was from date of issue.
I'll let everyone know what happens

I bought my AP online last October and chose to have it delivered at home. It's been valid since the date of issue. If you want to get a voucher to exhange within 6 months you need to choose the option "Paiement en une fois avec impression d'un Passeport temporaire".

We want to buy over the phone as that seems to be the only way to get a price in GBP, unless anyone knows how to get that online?

For a Dream pass, paying in Euros works out to £192, paying in pounds over the phone is £169 .

A message from DLP Facebook -

Hello 😊
Thank you for your message.

If you buy a new Annual Passeport you can change your voucher with the definitive Annual Passport 6 months after the day of purchase, however for a renewal you will change your voucher in 2 months 😊

Have a magical day,
Ottavio
