Hi everyone - I'm going to DLP in a few weeks for the first time since i was a child, and I'm going solo ;) Does anyone know if I would still need to make reservations for dinner, eating alone? If so, how far in advance should I do that? Thank you for any help :)
Good for you! A solo trip mean you can do as you please and get the most from your stay. Disney are set up for and welcome all types of visitors and will welcome you with open arms...plus you have the benefit of single riders! As far as booking restaurants I think as you will be taking a table regardless of how many chairs are around it then it is always best to book if you are either going over a weekend or to a prime restaurant like Inventions. Have a great trip!
I did a solo trip in February 2016. I made a reservation for Blue Lagoon and Restaurant des Stars. It was a quiet time when I went bit I still prefer to make reservations as it makes it easier to plan the day.
You can book reservations up to 60 days before your arrival date and I would recommend it.You will have so much fun!
Hi I am also travelling solo and wondered the same thing. Think I might wait until I arrive and book then. It's a difficult one as it depends where you are. I hate to be tied and always looking at my watch. Have a great time xxxx.

I usually travel solo, if I intend to eat at a popular restaurant, I'd certainly make a reservation for those.
You're allowed to make reservations 60 days in advance, I'd recommend using that time.
Certain restaurants are going to fill up fairly quickly (like Auberge de Cendrillon for instance).
The recenty opened Vapiano in Disney Village is great for solo travellers too. It has a nice atmosphere, great food and you can choose your own seat.
I went to DLP on my own on Jan 13th & 14th. Definitely book your table in advance. I forgot to do this, and I could only get an early sitting (6pm or 6:45pm) at Cape Cod when I booked it the same day.
I found that eating on my own own at a buffet made me eat more than I would usually! This was because I wasn't talking to anyone and was probably eating more (and quicker) to fill the time. Be warned! ;)
