Title: Speedo's
Post by: A Princess Disnae...... on January 12, 2017, 08:59:32 PM
Hi All! Silly question time again. We have booked to stay in Sequoia Lodge next month and was wondering if my other half and son will need to be equipped with Speedo's to use the pool or will their normal longer swimming trunks suffice? Once again thank you x

Longer swimming shorts are fine, it seems that the speedos only rule just applies to municipal pools in France.

It depends what you mean by longer swim shorts. If you mean lycra jammers then that is fine. If you mean material board type shorts then no. You can buy them at the pool but they are pricey. It is a legal health and safety requirement throughout France and includes hotels too.

I just had a panic attack reading this as we leave in a couple of weeks. I spoke to Disney and they said swim shorts are in fact fine in Disney Hotels as are trunks. It's worth noting that is not the case in all partner hotels.

I hope you get on ok. We always take jammers as have seen people turned away at the pool at Sequioa and Explorers for having swim shorts. Jammers are ok...no budgie smuggling!

My hubby and nephew both used swim shorts when we used the Sequoia pool, a lot of people were.
