Title: Sequoia meal plan
Post by: JueyM on December 31, 2016, 07:37:40 PM
I have searched and cannot easily find my answer, so apologies for repeating a request!

We have the sequoia meal plan which I think is full board plus...not sure what it means to be honest!

Breakfast in our hotel - is this basic pastries, tea, coffee and juice?
Lunch and dinner in the parks?
It says "more than 15" how do we find out where we can eat in advance so I can plan a little bit?
I've read about having to "top up/pay extra" why would this be?
I'm assuming only one soft drink so if we want beer/wine we will pay for those (fair enough)

We arrive Friday afternoon on the train, will we still receive 2 vouchers for that day and for the day we leave at 5pm too?

Grateful for your help,
Many thanks
:)

The standard Seqioua Lodge breakfast is typical continental - croissants, bread, cheese, ham, fruit, yoghurt - if you upgrade to a Golden Forest room, you then get the option of cooked breakfast items too.

Scroll to the bottom on here and you will see which restaurants you can use your vouchers in - http://www.disneyholidays.co.uk/disneyland-paris/planning-holiday/meal-plans/

In each of the restaurants there will be a designated menu in which you can redeem your vouchers and have to pay no extra. If you want to order off of the designated menu, that's when you would need to pay extra to make up the difference between voucher value and menu price.

Yes, one soft drink included, alcoholic beverages are charged extra.

For full board, you will get two vouchers per night of your stay - so you will get two the day you arrive, but none the day you depart. They are not dated however, so if you weren't arriving until late afternoon on your first day, and didn't want to use both of your vouchers for that day, you could save one to get a meal on your departure day.

Many thanks crush 😁 I shall check that out.

When you say, and others, about the value on the voucher, does it have an actual amount/value, i.e. €20 etc?

The plus vouchers are worth 35 euros each.

Hi just a couple of quick questions :) . With the changes to meal plans and breakfast does anybody know if the meal plans still include the pause gourmand (sorry about the spelling!!) vouchers? And do you have to take breakfast in your own Disney hotel? Or can you pay the difference with the voucher towards plaza gardens character breakfast? we are thinking of going March 2018 x2 adults :) x

Thank you.
So the lunch and dinner vouchers are 35 euros each?  Plus what is the afternoon treat they also mention?  Do you get a voucher for those too?

Yes the plus lunch and diner vouchers are worth 35 euro each (the amount is printed on the voucher). The afternoon treat is/was a hot or cold drink with a sugar donut or icecream. You get a voucher for that too. They are valuable from 3 till 6 o'clock in selected counter service restaurants. I say is/was because I don't know if they still do this. The afternoon treats used to be part of the meal plan but I heard they stopped it with the new breakfast update.
But don't worry everything will be explained during check in and all inforation is printed on the vouchers.

On the subject of dining at the Sequoia Lodge can someone explain the differences between their buffet restaurants Beevers Creek and Hunters Grill? Thanks as always. X

Both are advertised but both are not always open. We've only ever been in the Hunters Grill which was a standard all you can eat buffet. I know when we have been they've sometimes opened the Beavers Creek as an over flow. They were originally two different restaurants I believe, one buffet the other set menus. Correct me someone if I am wrong please, this is just my experience.

You are sort of correct.  My first visit to DLP was in December 2004.  I stayed at SL and ate at Beavers Creek on my last night there - it was an a la carte menu and the meal was absolutely delicious.  My next visit wasn't till September 2014 and I was disappointed that it had been turned into a buffet restaurant as I'd really been looking forward to eating there.
