Title: Upgrading room
Post by: FaithTrustPixieDust15 on December 22, 2016, 10:36:03 PM
Does anyone know if it's worth upgrading the room at the sequoia lodge? Just pricing up next trip and fancied a change
:)

Do you mean to a Golden Forest room?

If so I'd say definitely.  You get cooked breakfast, a lounge, a hotel fastpass for each day of your trip and a coffee machine and fridge in the room.

Last year we upgraded to the main building standard rooms at Sequoia Lodge, rather than being in one of the outer lodges. This was definitely worth the ~£50 extra, being able to walk down to reception/concierge/breakfast/bar etc. without going outside into the January cold & rain.
We didn't go for the "lake view" rooms, as there are so many trees as part of the hotel landscaping that I figured the view wouldn't be spectacular, and you're only in there a short amount of time anyway, for the added cost.

Can't vouch for Golden Forest, but if you are going standard, I would recommend paying the extra for a main building room.

If you are considering Golden Forest, then yes, go for it.
