I've seen that Undercover Tourist have some cheaper tickets. https://www.undercovertourist.com
Remember that MK one day ticket is a bit more expensive than the other parks at WDW.
Depends on how long you're going for, how many parks you want to do and how long you want in each park - 2x Universal, 4xDisney (+2 Water Parks). A bit more info would help us to help you.
There are 14 day Universal tickets and 7, 14 and 21 day Disney tickets. Some companies will bundle them together and give a bit of discount.
There is a forum for planning US Disney trips, have a look there.
We plan to go for 10 days spending 4 at disney and 4 in universal
3 adults 2 kids

The best thing is to buy four day tickets.
And over at disboards.com and wdwinfo.com you'll find a lot of info.
The best prices are at Park Savers or Undercover Tourist. Get a 4 day pass (you can do with or without hopping). Sign up for the Mousesavers newsletter, it will have a link to UT website for the absolute lowest ticket prices.
This is WDW info, sorry I can't help w Universal.
