Title: Meal Plan vs. AP Discount?
Post by: Samanthad on April 26, 2016, 09:01:53 AM
I was wondering if when adding AP holders onto a hotel room, can you opt to buy a meal plan? And if you can, does it work out cheaper or is it still better value to just use the AP discount in the restaurants?

Meal plans are only available to guests booked in the normal way. The difference between a half board voucher and the same menu less an AP discount on the restaurant is minimal – for example, at Bistrot Chez Rémy a half board voucher costing €35 gets the €39.99 menu which costs an AP holder €36, whilst at Plaza Gardens the €28 standard voucher compares to €30.99 cash price or €27.89 after discount.

However, if you're well-organised enough and your guest numbers suit, you can book a full board plan and share the vouchers out. Going from HB Plus to FB Plus is only €27 per guest per night but each voucher gets you the same €39.99 menu.
