Title: CDG Transfer
Post by: Ohana on April 19, 2016, 01:16:58 PM
I've left this a bit last minute, I'm aware, as we fly in less than 3 weeks haha, but I thought the Magic Shuttle would be cheap! For some reason I expected about £30-40 in total for 2 of us return, but it's more like £65 and I feel pretty gutted. Last time we booked our transfer direct with the travel agent so I didn't really give much thought to how much it'd be...

Are there any voucher codes currently to bring the cost down? Or does anyone use any other mode of transfer from the airport to the park?

How much is a private transfer? And we were also considering the train, but are unsure on costs and timetables/reliability etc.

Help!! D:

Never seen any vouchers for Magic Shuttle  :'(

Check out here for some useful information - http://www.dlpguide.com/guidebook/practical/gettingtothemagic/airports/

As well as Magic Shuttle the other options are Private Transfer, TGV Train (10 minutes by train), and RER Train via Paris (takes over 1 hour)

Return Private Transfer booked in advance - £95
TGV Train for 2 - £80+ depending on the train
RER Train via Paris - £30

So your cheapest is the RER but involves multiple trains and I wouldn't recommend it but if you are on a budget it could be an option.

I have done all of the above options, my preference is private transfer, straight from the arrivals hall to a driver waiting who will drop you direct at the hotel. After that I would say Magic Shuttle, my third option is TGV, and lastly RER.

Thanks :)

I did have a look at TGV, 12 minutes, WOW! But I'm not prepared to pay so much money, I think I'll just have to lump it and book the Magic Shuttle - it is a good service, it dropped me off right outside Santa Fe. Hoping it won't be too busy :)

Thanks guys, I've been and gone now though (boohoo :() I ended up using Magic Shuttle which was decent enough just very busy! May consider a private transfer next time if I save up a bit of extra money.
