Title: Anyone waiting to book for 2017?
Post by: stormflm595 on April 06, 2016, 01:04:42 PM
I don't think I can deal with all of the ride closures and green fences atm! :p So I'm waiting for the 25th anniversary to book a trip but it's such a loooooong wait! At least I'm going to Rome in June to enjoy!

Is anyone else putting a 2016 trip off to enjoy everything open (or at least most open) and fresh in 2017?

We bit the bullet and booked for this year.

we are going to wait until 2018 to do Florida :)

to be honest I don't think it will really ruin the magic for me, the height of summer my Disney magic vibe will be pretty happy im sure :)

the only one thing im really sad about being closed is BTM cause my daughter loves it, everything else is fine :)

I'm hoping to do Florida in 2018 too for the food and wine festival in Epcot!

If I went I'd definitely still have a great time but I think I'd rather wait a bit longer as I'm the same about BTM...it's my absolute favourite and it wouldn't feel right not being able to go on it.

As they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?!

and food and wine at Epcot is fantastic :) you will love it!

The ride refurb work didn't put us off from going last year and hasn't put us off this year. We love BTM but accept that it's due a lot of work so we can cope. It did seem strange not going on it in September last year and it will still feel strange when we go in a couple of weeks. It'll be very quiet in Frontierland without the noises from BTM.

There's enough in the park to keep us occupied whilst we are there.

I shall look forward to a trip to DLP next year for the 25th anniversary though!

I hope you both have a fabulous time!

I'm so excited to ride BTM once it re-opens to see what changes have been made :)

I'm waiting! I was OK with BTM being closed, but Adventure Isle as well was just too much of the park for me! On the bright side it was either now or 2017 and patience has prevailed!

The ride refurbs didn't put me off but I never count DLP as a main holiday just a mini break.

I am debating whether to do Halloween and Xmas 2016 or just Xmas and then May time in 2017.

I always tend to book with 3 weeks maximum to go which isn't ideal but never mind.

I must admit I'm looking forward to 2017, but I couldn't miss a years visit! I look forward to visiting even if certain attractions are closed, I mean there's a lot down now but it didn't really impact on our last visit in February at all we still had an amazing time  :)

We are returning in November which I will hopefully enjoy just as much! I do miss BTM especially and even the atmosphere it gives frontierland as its going round. I think 2017 will be a pretty busy year for DLP as I know many have held of their trips because of the refurbishment schedule. Hope you all have a magical trip wether it be 2016/2017  :D

We are looking to go xmas/new year 2017/18 depending on school holidays if not will probably be Halloween. We felt we couldn't miss a year so are going in the summer this year.

We're doing a Disney Cruise this year, am seriously thinking of WDW for 2018 so maybe DLP in August 2017.

Jealous! I would love to do a Disney Cruise but they are all just too long - 3 nights would be the maximum I could handle on a ship.

We are waiting for 2017. House move and new baby's arrival in next few weeks so life is a bit crazy just now. Can't wait to take my two boys next year. Still undecided on when to go but swaying towards July. Really can't wait to go back!

We went in September 2015 and decided that we would wait until 2017 to return, for us the number of ride closures and green fences did dampen the magic and we knew that there was due to be so much more in 2016. We still had a fab time and I was tempted by some good deals a little while ago but we decided it'll be all the better for waiting!

I thought we would visit less this year but no.... can't wait.

So far we've been a couple of days in February, have 3 nights booked in May, 2 nights in September (half marathon) and will probably add 2 or 3 nights in early September. And there is still one week of holidays in November we have no plans for, so maybe go back then...

Also doing a Disney Cruise this summer  :D

And I confess I've already booked one trip for April next year, we'll be there on the 12th for the anniversary!!

I am booked to take my two children in March 2017 and can't wait, my eldest is sad that Pirates will be closed but excited to see the rides that we couldn't do that were closed when we visited in November 2015. I am also planning a trip for late November 2018. Can't afford to do it every year so making do with going every 18 months instead.

So I said I was waiting. That's now gone down the drain and I'm booking for late November 2016 for Castle Club again - this time with a proper castle view and balcony! I know it's crazy money but I prefer quality over quantity.

Think for 2017 I'll be waiting until all the rides reopen so it's worth the waiting.

When are the Summer 2017 deals released? I'm sure I could find the answer if I really looked, but this is easier :)

Yeap, went last year and BTM was closed and it did had an impact on my overall xp.....But hey, i had great fun as always!
But i do not think i'll visit the parks this year, and the main reason is that BTM is still under refurb....so i'll wait for next year where both Pirates and BTM will be open after they get their refurbs.

And i cant wait to see what's new for their 25th anniversary!

Plus i'm saving some money in order to visit Paris as well, instead of visiting just the parks.
