Title: Traveling to DLP by car
Post by: kernow on April 02, 2016, 08:25:55 AM
We've just been confirmed on the 4:20 am ferry to Calais from Dover in August. Will be traveling up from Cornwall via M20.
Does anyone know of a 24hr Tesco's near Dover as we plan to fill up before we get the ferry.

Why? Fuel in france is generally cheaper and there is a 24/7 self service station at cite d'europe.

If you're insistent, then the Ashford junction has a tesco with fuel station.

Thank you Ggfergy, only reason for asking is that we may need to go from Cornwall to Wales then down to dover. If so I'll need to top up with fuel.

Bung a tenner in! I paid 1.02 Euros yesterday for diesel. Thats cheaper than the UK price, and then when you factor in conversion rates it's probably cheaper than I've paid in the UK for years !

If your coming down the M20 there is a 24 hour Tesco fuel station off the second exit as you come of Junction 10 at Ashford. It's only about another 30 minutes to Dover from there. X

If you miss the Tesco, theres a reasonably priced BP just as you enter Dover, so no need to deviate from your route.

Except that you don't want to be buying fuel in the UK, France is way cheaper!
