Hi, we are travelling in December and looking at staying the night in Dover before catching an early morning ferry.
2 questions firstly has anyone travelled with toddlers who can recommend a hotel and tips for keeping them busy on the ferry.
Secondly have any of the hotels got secure parking as we don't really want to carry everything into the hotel.
we've askEd used tge Travelodge at Canterbury Dunkirk. it's got it's own cat offal and I'd attached to a services but we've always left our stuff in the car and never had a problem. it's about 25 minutes away. as for the ferry. ... it's a fairly sorry journey. wr catch an early morning one then eat breakfast on tge very. have a wander and then we're there! have a brilliant time!
oh and make your little one a disney goody bag for the journey- a little colouring book some stickers sweets etc or make little disney planner with pictures of where you'll be eating etc to look at on the way
We've used Canterbury Dunkirk Travelodge or whitstable when travelling by ferry or tunnel. Only things we take in are out separate travel bag we use for this hotel & our electronic items.
We've travelled with babies age & up over. We always pack a Disney bag for them that have stories, little toys to keep amused in car or on ferry, colourings & a portable DVD player.
Thank you for replying.

I would consider skipping breakfast then! ;)
We've stayed in the Premier Inn before and it was great, just 1 minute from the port and a great breakfast. Can't speak for the toddler but our 5&8 year olds loved it. Car park was spacious and we could see the car from our window.
