Read a few times on facebook yesterday that from 24th march 2016 they are doing away with VIP fastpass in the empire state club rooms?
Anyone have any more info on this?
We have booked for end of august and upgraded to ESC for the fact of VIP Fastpass only to now be reading that we wont get it anyway?!
That would be a shame - what Facebook page have you seen the comments on? I would say it would be worth contacting the hotel direct as if part of the package you have booked is no longer available they should be able to do something about it. Perhaps it will be for new bookings only etc.
Disneyland Paris for Brits was the page...
Spoke to the call centre and they said no decision had been made but they probably wouldn't be included.

I would definitely follow with an email to document that this is a change from the conditions you've booked under and what can be put in place? Would you still stay in the ESC without the passes now or prefer the opportunity to change with admin cost etc?
I'm wondering why they're doing away with them? I would definitely email and say they were a deciding factor in your booking so you require clarification asap.
I'd read initially that the Compass Rooms in Newport Bay were going to have VIP Fastpasses, but I think that's not the case there now or I'd try and swap to there.

I can kind of see why in the long run... I mean when I looked Empire State rooms were still cheaper than standard DLH rooms! Plus if you're forking out thousands for Castle Club to get the same as Empire State except a lift and character breakfast then it seems a bit much.
Saying that if I were in your position I would still be annoyed because they are essentially changing the terms of the contract (depending what your paperwork says!). Which would mean in English law that the contract can be rescinded.
The only other thing to factor in is due to the closures there's really only 6 rides that you can use fast passes on (not 100% thats just off the top of my head).
looking at the FB page you mentioned they are saying if it was booked before 14th January you should be ok? was this the case for you?
We made reservations for ESC. We booked mid november for staying there from 5 till 9 april.
I read about this on another forum (dutch speaking).
here they said that if you booked before 15 januari, there wouldn't be a difference.
Today i called to Disney to ask about this.
They said that it still isn't known what shall be done, and that Disney knows that the reason to book the ESC rooms is the VIPFP.
Shortly it should be known what they will change about our/your reservation.
Normally Disney will communicate this to you.
If we know nothing more about this by februari, i'm going to contact them again.
If the change isn't decent then i wan't te be able to change my booking, because i didn't pay for a cheap replacement.
