Ok, firstly can I just say I emailed Disneyland after our stay in November. As you probably know, we were there during the terrorist attacks and ended up borrowing money to stay longer in our hotel so we could make the most of the time once the parks re-opened.
My email was basically commending them on how well they handled it, how we made the best of a bad situation, and how proud I was of my children for handling it so well. I did however say that the only bit I was disappointed at was not being allowed into DLH when we tried for the second time (after being allowed in just the day before), and the girls were upset because we knew that Princesses were reading stories to the children in there. That was it. The only negative thing I said. My email was very long, and full of praise. I made it clear we had a great time. I wasn't asking for anything, nor did I expect anything.
Well. :o :o :o :o
I've had an email back yesterday (bearing in mind I sent mine in November), offering us a 3 night stay for free in the Sequioa ;D ;D ;D ;D I am so unbelievably thrilled and happy, I can't tell you. We only have to raise the money for flights, and if I finally sort my fabric stash out (I like making clothes and have a rather excessive fabric collection!) and sell some fabric we can afford the flights.
The kids don't know yet ;)
There is no limit by when we have to use them, but we would love to go during May for our 10th wedding anniversary, so I think we'll try for then if we can pay for flights and save some spending money by then.
Well done Disney, now THAT'S customer service. :D
Have you thought about waiting til next year? Thats what I'm doing with my free nights because the price will go up with it being 25th Anniversary!
Obviously go for what you want but just an idea to save more!
A work colleague has said the same thing. I'm not sure what to do for the best to be honest, they said if we couldn't go back before the expiration of our annual passes, then to let them know, and they'd give us park tickets as well. We just have to email them.
The thing is, we will be going back before then (hubby is going for a day in April, I'm going for a day in July, and we're going together for the races in September) so I think if they see that our annual passes have been used and then we're asking to go later it may look a bit dodgy...know what I mean?
It would be lovely to be sipping champagne in Disneyland on our 10th wedding anniversary. That's all I keep thinking :-\ ??? But I also think it would be lovely to be there during Christmas season, or Halloween, or like you say, for the 25th anniversary (but to be fair, we have every intention of renewing our AP's and going again next year).
Decisions decisions! ;D
That really is wonderful customer service - I hope whenever you do go you have a fabulous time and FYI the Sequoia is a lovely hotel (can't remember if you have stayed there before or not! )

Thank you :D
We stayed in the Sequoia in 2014, we do love it. We think we're definitely going to go in May. Our eldest starts senior school in September so we don't want to miss any school time while she's settling in. :)
