I'm looking at purchasing a stabilizer/gimbal for my phone. While reading through some of the specs I was wondering whether those things are allowed at Disney parks or not. I reached out to them on Twitter and although the answers are positive, I'm not sure yet whether I should just take their answer. Any of you had experience with such a device?

A stabilizer is not an extension pole.

The letter of the rule prohibits "telescopic" poles so if it doesn't extend, it isn't prohibited. Of course, the decision will probably come down to the individual cast member at the security check.
I might just give it a shot... I've seen people take the selfie stick out of their bag behind security and snap a photo. Nobody said or did anything.
