Finally, a new parade is coming to DLP for its 25th anniversary! It's been confirmed by the designers themselves: https://www.facebook.com/KevinandJody/posts/941386252575902 ;D
Great news!
Thanks, msRavenswood!
I'm sure you are gonna see it in person! ;) ;D
Excellent although part of me wonders if there's a real need to replace the current one. Its only done, what 5 years? They got 10+ out of 'Dancin' A Catchy Rhythm'. :P

It's a revamp of the Once Upon A Dream Parade so it's running for about 10 years.
Which is longer than The Wonderful World of Disney Parade.
And with it now being a small parade with barely any floats, and no nighttime parade anymore, and also no parades at the Studios anymore, Disneyland Paris is in desperate need of a new parade.
Yay. Although something big like a new parade was to be expected for the 25th.

10 years for that one?! Wow where's that time gone?
Now I think about it, wasn't that the one for the 15th celebrations?
This is fantastic news and long overdue DLP desperately needs a new parade and the 25th anniversary seems the perfect time to launch it.
It would also be nice to see a parade reinstated at WDS park too.
2017 is closer than you think!

That's great news! I hope we will get completely new floats so they can use the chassis of the current floats for some extra Halloween/Christmas floats, or maybe use them for a new parade in the Studios!
Yaaas! ;D
I don't know why the don't use the old parade from WDW, DL etc? Just use the same floats with different theming? ::)
If you check the 'Happiness is here' parade from Tokyo you will see how awesome the floats are. I hope the designers offer DLP the same quality!
I would like to see similar float to those currently used at WDW. How cool would a fire breathing dragon be?
Well this is exciting news, but the float in that picture is a bit uninspiring and certainly not good enough for DLP.
When the current parade started as the 'Parade des reves' (hope my French grammar is right there) for the 15th we all thought it was the best thing going. But it looks a bit old now and something new will be most welcome.
As far as a night parade goes I think it is too much to coordinate it with Dreams in the park (and perhaps not worth doing as we have something incredible at park closing time already), but a night parade would be just what WDS needs to truly grab that elusive 'full day park' description.

Search on YouTube for 'Happiness is here parade Tokyo'. The floats are certainly of a different philosophy compared to what we're used to seeing at DLP but this isn't necessarily bad. They have a certain dreamy flair, which I personally love!
Yes, I see what you mean. I like how they are more open so that you don't get too much of the view blocked off by the middle of the float being in the way. (Watching that also reminds me how lucky we are with our park, much more beautiful than TDL!)
A new parade sounds great, the happiness is here parade looked OK & is different but maybe it's time for something different at DLP. I did notice how much more civilised the crowds were watching it, makes a change from the push & shoving that often occurs.
Please note that a new parade doesn't have to mean a NEW parade.
The parade for 20th anniversary (Disney Magic On Parade) was also advertised as "new", but it's just a revamp of the Once Upon A Dream Parade.
This is fantastic news! A brand new parade is just what is needed at DLP and with float designers involved it's a good sign that we will indeed have brand new floats. So exciting! I really hope DLP goes back to having a parade soundtrack with different Disney songs related to the floats just like the Once Upon A Dream parade.
What characters and floats would people like to see in the new parade?

Good point. And that would be a darn sight cheaper than shelling out for all new units.

Something unusual. Like Tron.

Absolutely agree, that was mind blowing in person.
Would love to see a Big Hero 6 float with a huge Baymax
^That'd be awesome!

Baymax!! Bah-la-la-la!! :P
Wishlisting here, I'd love if they kept Magic on Parade, not because it is amazing but simply because I'd prefer a Nighttime parade. Paint the Night is breathtaking.
Great news. It seems like the Walt Disney World company taking over majority of the park is helping it a lot. Here's hoping for three new shows and a new parade for Walt Disney Studios Park too by 2017.
I think for the anniversary DLP would rather have a brand new Daytime parade as for now the main park night entertainment is sorted with Disney Dreams. It gets a high guest satisfaction and is a stunning show which end the day perfectly.
Personally if you are going to launch a big anniversary year how best to do it then with a brand new parade. We've had the same parade floats for 20 years by the time the anniversary comes so new floats would be a joy. I agree with an earlier comment I would prefer a night time parade to be in WDS to give that park a full day experience. Disney Dreams is a brilliant way to end the day in the Magic Kingdom park.
I must admit, I don't think Magic On Parade is too old or aging, although I think it will be if it lasts another 5 years, so I'll be intrigued to see what the new parade features, hopefully Pooh and Friends stick around, would like to see Stitch join the parade (think he is popular enough for it) and maybe the Aristocats?
Not too keen on the sound of Paint The Night, I like the soundtrack, but when I watch the parade on YouTube, I don't compare it to Fantillusion, MSEP or any of the daytime parades, although would there be much designing needed for a Paint the Night copy?
Here's (http://www.cestjolichezvous.fr/2016/02/26/jody-daily-jaime-que-les-parades-disney-vehiculent-de-la-fantaisie/#en) an interview with Jody Daily, one of the imagineers who are designing the parade.
Do they not do the stars and cars or whatever it was called in the studios park anymore?? I know they did in 2014 (April 2014) as we were last there then xx

The stars and cars did end a while back.
It's been gone for quite a while now although I think it comes back on special occasions such as over Christmas.
