So last night I booked the train tickets for our next visit. We've decided on 29th March next year. Now we just need to book the hotel ;D ;D ;D
We have just come back from Sequoia Lodge which was lovely, so would be more than happy to go back there, but we are thinking about Newport Bay for a change.
Has anyone got experience of both of these, and what are your opinions on them?
Thanks
Michele
Hi, our last two stays at the Resort were at Sequoia Lodge too, but we're thinking of booking Newport Bay next time. The service will be similar I guess and especially since the refurbishments will be complete it seems like an ideal time to try it out.
Just what we are thinking Puffin. It might be nice to have a change, and I imagine it as more Spring-like somehow at Newport Bay!
Try Newport Bay this time. It will be totally completed, all new and shining. I can not imagine how nice it will be! Exiting!

so true! Sequoia Lodge's atmosphere seems more suitable for fall / Christmas.
I have stayed in both hotels and my favourite is sl.
Newport bay is a very nice hotel, but very big,if you are given a room at the end of hotel
it is like a route march to the reception area, and unlike the sequoia lodge it dosn,t have exits at different
areas of the hallways.
Hi Glenn, thanks for that. I must admit I hadn't really given any thought to it being a bigger hotel - obvious I know, but hadn't clicked if you know what I mean. I get what you're saying but I think we are still swaying towards Newport Bay, just because it will be nice to have a difference experience this time. But then again, I will probably change my mind a dozen times before I actually get round to booking it!!!!! ::)
I have stayed in both hotels.
Newport Bay is a good hotel, but too spaced out! After coming back from a long day of walking in the parks, the last thing you want is a 10 mile hike to your room- which is Newport Bay. The food is good though, rooms are good too.
Seqouia Lodge is great! Even though its a 15 minute bus ride to the parks, really good! Friendly and helpful staff, and lovely food! Just like all Disney hotels, rooms are supder-duper comfy!
