We are thinking of booking quite soon for DLP next year (probably june time), on a recent trip the scaffolding was still up around the Newport Bay Hotel. Just wondering when work here will be completed, don't want to risk booking if its still going to be under refurbishment.
We were booked in to go to Disney's Newport Bay Club in November. After we learnt of the extent of the refurb work being done, we opted to change hotels. We enquired with our travel agent as to how long the work would be going on for and she made a couple of calls before getting back to us. We were told the work was expected to go on till at least May/June next year though there is no set finish date (at least none made public).
Does somebody have pictures of the refurbished rooms and suites?
I am hoping to be there next week so i can let you know.
I was there in december and stayed in a refurbed room. It was lovely.
When I stayed at Disneyland Paris (in the Hotel New York) 15/02-19/02, I could see some scaffolding at the side of the Newport Bay whilst walking to the park.
I've just done a live chat on the Disneyland website and was told although there is a small amount of scaffolding still up, all refurbishments are completed.

Just got back from newport. A few bits of construction going on but what a beautiful, beautiful hotel.
Will post some pics of the room later.
I wonder if when it applies for a 4 star grade the prices will shoot up?

Ooooh I'm getting seriously excited about staying there in May. 52 days to go! :)

never stayed at New Port Bay before, but definitely the next one on the list!
If someone has been recently can you tell me what has happened to the fishermans wharf bar,can,t find any reference to it online or the dlp brochure.
