Title: Rogue River Keeleboats
Post by: Lucyloo on March 16, 2015, 12:23:15 PM
Hi,

Can anyone please confirm if these are running or not?  I can't find them on the official Disney website so I'm guessing not, but it still shows on the park map of www.dlpguide.com so I'm not sure how up to date that website is.  We go in a weeks time and I'm gutted that the Mississippi river boat attraction (Mesa Landing) is closed.  Are there any other boat ride type things to do instead?

The keelboats used to open sporadically, but we haven't seen them running for 2 or three years. So, we'd assume not.

No other boat rides, unless you count Small World or Pirates of the Caribbean?

I do not believe, that they are still running. Last time I see them in action has to be years ago, I guess 2008.
And I haven't seen any official park plans on which they were sceduled during the last years.

Wasn't there a law saying that they had to have a captain certificate to operate them, or do I remember wrong?

Sadly, this attraction is closed...

real boat rides to enjoy some environment (or whatever) are not existing beside Mark Twain and Molly Brown. The others are all attraction rides (Pirates, Its a small world, les pays de contes des fees)

Thats intersting as when we were there in Feb this year we saw one going up and down. Maybe they were just using it to  clear the ice as the water was frozen.
