How can I tell if Pizza Planet is going to be open on the days that we are in Disney? On my last couple of trips we have always walked by but found it closed. Also is it really like the Pizza Planet in Toy Story and what is the play area like?
hi look here
http://www.dlpguide.com/calendar/closures-refurbishments/restaurants/
We ate there last feb but it was the first time out of three trips that it was open .
The kids really enjoyed it . There was a wise range of buffet food and it was all really nice . Loads of puddings to choose from it .
It wasn't how I imagined it to be but kids loved it because it was ' pizza planet ' .
The soft play was ok . Not very big but again the kids liked it .
We would eat here again although I know others have said it wasn't good .
We also ate there in February last year - it was the first time it had been open on any of our previous 42 times in the park!
We really enjoyed the food, and were rather surprised by the tastiness of the pizzas and the choice of other foods / desserts!
I really hope this is open when we go in October, both of my sons are obsessed with Toy Story :-)
To save walking all the way there, the board showing wait times opposite the Buzz shop shows if it is open or not.
They have 2 or 3 types of pizza, 2 or 3 types of pasta with bolognese or carbonara sauces.
Not really a soft play area, but things to climb and run around. Our son has always loved it.
I've never noticed this restaurant - is that because it's always closed? Or is it hidden away?
Thanks for the advice. It appears that it will be open for our trip in April. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the hint about the board, will definitely save our legs walking that way just to check.
It is out of the way and easy to miss, round the back of space mountain next to what was honey I shrunk the audience, which I think is captain Eo now!
Looking forward to trying this restaurant!
I'm sure I read somewhere that they've extended its opening hours while cafe Hyperion is undergoing refurbishments. We always visit it and it is always the most relaxed meal because the kids can go and let off steam while we choose from the buffet. Pizza is always hot and tasty. Refillable drinks that you top up yourself and always a table and a highchair ready and available which is more than I can say for some of the more popular buffet restaurants.
For the pp who asked where it is: it's around the back of space mountain, follow the path past captain EO.
I think we will eat here tuesday as it has been closed on the 3 previous times i have been and my son really wants to eat there
Its open till 9pm this week, for the money its really good value. We went saturday night and there were 4/5 different pizzas 3 types of pasta/sauce, salad bar and lots of yummy deserts
