Title: sequoia lodge advice
Post by: annesafc on December 30, 2014, 08:28:28 PM
Hi All

We are booked to go to DLP in april and have booked a montana room in the sequoia lodge. what are the differences between this and upgrading to a golden forest room? and is it worth it?? also how many characters are seen at this hotel?

Thanks in advance
xx

I haven't stayed in GF rooms but from looking at the website it would appear that it gets;

- Separate Reception Area
- Separate Dinning/lounge area
- Cooked Breakfast
- Free afternoon treat, I think its like hot chocolate ect
- Hotel Fastpass

I think I'm going to try it on my next trip.

Also I believe that there are no longer characters at the hotels anymore, just a few at the Disneyland Hotel and in Castle Club.

I stayed at the Sequioa Lodge GF three times last year, I think it's worth the upgrade cost just for the private breakfast room so you don't have to queue in the main one! The hotel FASTPASS is also useful!

I've stayed at the Sequoia Lodge last November and tried out the GF upgrade and it is wonderful. The private reception/check-in, the fastpasses and the relaxed GF lounge for breakfast and drinks was a delight.

Just booked sequoia lodge today for Decemeber and have gone for GF rooms.

The travel agent phoned disney to ask about the GF extras and they said its a separate check in , breakfast on the GF floor, fast pass , drinks all day in the lounge and snacks from 4-6 pm .
Hope that helps .

Yes, it's mainly little cakes and pastries, some fresh fruit (self service) and free drinks (coffee, tea, cold ones, which you order, when seated)

Golden forest upgrade is definitely worth it..private check in area, private lounge for breakfast with no queues or fixed times then from 12 free hot drinks and minerals in the lounge and from 4-6 dere is an afternoon tea with cakes and biscuits and sweets for d kids..you can also take drinks with you which saves a fortune in the parks..you also get a fast pass per day per person which is very useful..it saved us everyday on ratatouille...
