Title: Auberge De Cendrillon
Post by: michellemumof2xx on September 02, 2014, 09:54:16 AM
Hi, I'm just wondering, who have you seen when dining here?? I have looked on youtube and seen Cinderella and Prince Charming, Suzy and Perla, and then alot of Snow White and a few of Ariel. Can anyone tell me when did you go? And who did you see? Do you see "rare" princessess like Tiana? Thanks

Hi. I've ate here 3 times and have had, Belle, Cinderella, Aurora, Tiana and Snow White.  Not all at the same time but I'm guessing from other peoples post these are the main princesses. When I go again next year I'm definitely eating there again as it's such a gorgeous eating and the food is so nice. I can't recommend it enough! Maybe now that the Ana and Elsa will be going to the Pavillion maybe they'll bring out other princesses at Auberge! Now that would be brilliant x

My eldest is very fussy too and only really enjoyed the dessert! When we first went she had the burger and when it came it was just the meat, no bun and cooked medium, so still pink. Let's just say she wasn't amused! I personally ate mine then he's!! It was so. Ice! Lol

I have a few pics from all the different time we went. Let me see if i can upload them. I always have trouble on this site. Everyone's so lucky to be going! We went only April gone but it feels like a lifetime away and I'm yet to book my next one as I'm waiting for better deals! X

Never did a trip report or anything like that before, so I'm not promising anything just yet, but I will at least report back which princesses were present. ;D

Same here. Just the standard princesses like Aurora, snow white, perla, Suzie, prince Charming and cinderella. My daughter only liked the desert. I do not understand why they do not change the menu somewhat. And I do not mean chicken nuggets but at least make a burger children like. Or some fries with the food. It is a lot of money for just the desert.

I've been wondering that too.  I'd like to go on my upcoming visit but I'm not going to pay all that money just for dessert.  I don't like ham or seafood and I'm allergic to mushrooms and cheese which doesn't leave me with much choice!  Perhaps they do it like that so they're not over-run with people going there.  Just out of interest how big is it, roughly how many people does it hold?

Children unfortunately are often picky eaters, but it doesn't exactly look too bad on the kids menu, but I can see why some may not like the things on offer. The chicken fillet in mushroom sauce I assume would be the favourite for most, with the burger being a close second.

However I can understand why they didn't go too "generic" for the kids menu, this is one of the highest ranking restaurants in the parks for a reason, on the same tier as the California Grill as far as I'm aware. At least in terms of cost.

The Adult menu is a limited, but to me seems to offer a decent selection of choices, but I can see how a picky eater might have issues with what's on offer.

Personally, I look forward to tasting what's on offer, as most of it does read as quite delicious. :)

I think people have to remember its a premium service and the food is definitely premium. It's like something you would get from the poshest London restaurant. The way they serve the food is gorgeous and the rib of lamb melts in your mouth! My kids had the chicken fillet with mushroom sauce and they absolutely loved it. The sauce came in a little dish so you could dip your chicken in so it's not mixed on the plate.

I really wouldn't go here if you do have picky eaters as you are paying a lot of money and you wouldn't be getting your money worth that's for sure!  I can't fault it as I'm pretty open minded when it comes to food and will try anything once. My youngest is like me but my eldest won't. But she did enjoy the food this time round!

Your gonna love it!! Inside is beautiful, have a look at the details around the altrove (I think that's what it's called!)  the details are lovely.

I forgot to add you all get a welcome cocktail each and I have to recommend the Glowtinis! Pricey but so worth it I had one there and at Walts!

Ah they are so nice but quite lethal (unless I'm a lightweigt!!) they did have alcohol in them and they were €14

€14 each is a bit steep indeed :o But I assume you get to keep the glowing cubes :P

If it's listed on the menu, with a list of what's in them, I may try one, but not much of a fan of alcoholic beverages.

They are listed on the adult menu under the beverages. You do get to keep the cube.  The cube changes colour so your drink glows in different colours. I know it's steep but it was really nice. Around the rim they put this sugary stuff and that was nice!

The sugary stuff is usually sugar ;) Flavoured and coloured sugar, certainly, but sugar. ;)
I'm intrigued though, I may get one, although I did book for Lunch, rather than Dinner...
Might spice up the afternoon a bit if it's really strong ;D (I'm assuming it'll be more sweet than strong though).

Not exactly a lightweight when it comes to alcohol (mainly by not being a physical lightweight either :P ), but I generally don't like to consume the stuff, I'm more of a fruit juice and water kind of guy.

I can confirm that the Glowtinis are indeed fairly potent!!! Well I have had one weaker one, which I assume someone had neglected to add the propper number of shots into it  :o , but all others I have had have had a real kick to them!! We have an extensive collection (20 or so) of the glowing cubes!
The children can also get mocktails in several bars in keepsake tumblers with glowing characters attatched to the straws. I dont believe these childrens mocktails are available in Auberge but Im sure someone will be able to correct me if I am wrong...

Both of mine were potent. I have to say I came out of auberge pretty happy!! Lol I've seen the kids ones too but can't think if auberge does them. I know blue lagoon does. When I go back I'm definitely having another one (or two!!)

I didn't see any glowing cocktails in the restaurants but I know they definitely do them in the Bar in DLH, my kids still have their juice in them sometimes and my youngest has her glowing Tinkerbell attached to the end of her bed and puts her on to glow at night (they take watch batteries so are easy enough to keep glowing!)  ;D

Just to get it straight - on the menu page, it says you get a prince's cocktail with the meal included in the price - so which one is that - and does that have alcohol in it?? Neither me nor my hubby drink alcohol at all, so would prefer to just have a coke tbh... I thought you could only get what was listed in the menu at the Auberge - I didn't realize they had a drinks card too......? Or am I misunderstanding?
Hope someone can clarify... :)

I'm assuming the starter cocktail is without alcohol (as none of the restaurants appear to serve alcohol by default, it's always an additional charge). :)
But I'm not sure, I'll gladly try and find out though, as I should be lunching there in 10 days. :D

The welcome cocktail is alcohol free and just a fruit drink that is layered. The bottom was a orange colour and the too yellow. It's a nice little touch for the kids. Makes them feel all grown up!

The auberge does have a beer and wine list you can order from which is inside the menu they give you when you arrive.

Thanx Loulou, that's what I thought, but just wanted to make sure, when people started talking about glowtinis... ;)
We'll be going there in November, so trying to get as much info as poss. :)

I've been to the Auberge, and the princesses were out in forse. Aside from Suzy and Perla I spotten Cinderella (with Prince Charming), Ariel and Aurora. So no "rare" princesses, but 3 different ones.

That are about the princessesses we saw in there too. It is a few years back! I also saw pictures of Belle beeing there. And I think Tiana also appeared. Maybe not as often as the other ones. I don`t know about Rapunzel!

I asked at City Hall if it's possible to find out which ladies will be gracing the tables with présence, and according to the CM I asked they don't know who'll be there. It's always a surprise.
