Title: Looking to buddy up end of June / mid July
Post by: upinthesky on May 21, 2014, 10:04:48 AM
Hi all,

Brand new member and first post on this forum!  :D

I am considering another trip to Disneyland Paris at the end of June or mid July. Having ran out of family and friends with enough money/leave/willpower to accompany me I have nobody to go with. It would be great to share the trip with a like-minded Disney fan in the same boat.

I'm 37, I live in the Midlands, I work professionally, I am recently converted having first visited Disneyland Paris in April 2013. I have now visited 3 times in total.

I am keen to ride Ratatouille if possible. I have done some fact-finding and although it doesn't officially open until 10th July most websites suggest there will be a period of 'soft' opening beginning at the end of June. One website gave a date of 28th June, which is the weekend I had in mind.

If you're interested in buddying up it would be great to hear from you. I'm single so male or female, any nationality. I work in the travel industry and I can get an unbelievable deal on rooms & tickets.

Cheers,

upinthesky

I would have loved to, but I have my solo trip booked for August! The rumour is that there will be previews of the Rat on the 28th and 29th of June for Dream AP holders!

I would love to do this but my other half and son would never forgive me if I went to Disney without them! Also funds are an issue at the moment lol! I really hope you find your travel buddy and have an excellent time  ;D

Why not do a solo trip? Plenty of us do one , its not that strange or unusual. I have done 2 solo trips to Disneyland Paris and in June I am doing a solo trip to Disneyland California. Yes its great being part of a group or with someone, but on your own is really great. You have total freedom to do anything in Disneyland you want. For example on own of my solo trips I spent nearly an hour on Peter Pans Flight during EMH. There line was so short that I would just get off and get right back on. I  also did Pirates of The Caribbean multiple times in a row. In restaurants I take a book with me or just people watch.

If you want to go to Disneyland Paris and you have the money and time , just go. Don't worry about not having anyone to go with.

I'm doing my second solo trip in September.  None of my friends are interested in going so I go on my own.  It's fine and one good thing is that I can do what I want to do when I want to do it.  With there being so much to do/see at DLP that's no bad thing!

Amanda08 - thanks for the info and enjoy your trip
Gemma2806 - thank you and sorry you can't make it
Daddyof2 - I would if I could lol
Bad-pink-tink and Andybear - thanks for the encouragement. I hadn't realised solo trips were common. Should I not find anyone to buddy up with that is what I will do!

UPDATE: Having checked ride closures Space Mountain would be closed for the end of June trip therefore I have decided on 10-12 July plus or minus a day or two.
