We are going for 4 nights in 3 weeks and was thinking that we would spend 1 full day in the Studios park and that would be enough to get everything done.
I've just printed off last weeks programme and had a look at the shows and their times and realised that you could spend all day going to the shows, which means you've not got any time to go on the rides.
How do you split your time between the parks? We are arriving at DLP around lunchtime on our first day and leaving at 4.30 on our last. Would you use one of these days for extra time in the Studios? or do you think it's time better spent in the main park?
TIA
maybe not much of a help, but that`s how we do it: we look at the program, go to whatever appeals to us and after that we hang around some more, do some rides and then go back!
Have great trip!
The day(s) we go to the Studios, we first do Magic Hours in the other park, then move to the Studios for opening. You can get quite a few rides done in the first hour or so after opening.
Given the amount of time you're there, I'd def spend you first day in the parks, as theyhave more of a Disney feel. A day should do you in the studios. Pick the shows you really want to see. generally you don't need to queue to far in advance for them, so your time spent there really will just be the duration of the show. Do 1 day in the parks, 1 in the studios, and then on your last day go back n do your favourites. I highly recommend stitch live, it's a great interactive show for everyone.
1 full day in the Studios should be plenty. The only show you need to go a bit early for is the Stunt Show (and that lasts about 40 minutes). For all the others just go a few minutes before the start. Well, except maybe for the Disney Jr Live on Stage, if you're going with little kids then go about 20 minutes before the start, princess Sofia and Jake from the Neverland Pirates are there and spend some time playing with the kids.
We have a little girl and usually do only rides we can all do together (so for example the Tower of Terror and the RnRC are out of our list for now). Usually we spend the first day in Disneyland Park, the second day half a day in the Studios and the rest back in Disneyland, and the last day (we usually go for 2 nights, 3 days) mostly in Disneyland again, with maybe a quick trip to the Studios if we didn't do everything we wanted there...
