Title: Ride music
Post by: Slimy yet satisfying on March 31, 2014, 10:14:23 AM
Was listening to the radio and the theme song from the film Big Country came on. I recognised it from waiting in line at Thunder Mountain. I wondered if there was a cd available of the music from the rides and parks available, there are plenty from the films and parades but i cant seem to find anything with just the ride music. Hoping someone can help...yeee ha away to stand and do the dishes whilst pretending to be somewhere else!

Unfortunately no, not properly anyhow. There's always something wrong with these releases I've noticed... either they don't have all the tracks, or they've got very edited versions of ride music on them.

The only physical CD I have with Disney ride music is this;

(http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51vmG3TV%2BJL._SL500_AA280_.jpg) (http://www.amazon.com/Haunted-Mansion-Various/dp/B00AIGOLD8/ref=sr_1_4?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1396258814&sr=1-4&keywords=the+haunted+mansion)

Its official, and from the US. Its mostly Haunted Mansion but they have the Ghostly Music Box and Phantom Manor Suite on it, which is better than the very edited Phantom Manor track that was released on a CD ford linked to. It also has the full narration of the Haunted Mansion with the Ghost Host, I know it isn't Phantom Manor... but I'm a Mansion fan too.

But for other rides... I'm not so sure. Your best bet is probably the CD linked to in the previous post.

A couple of years ago, i bought a series of CD's (I think there were 10) with "official" loops of music on them. By no means official but each CD was represenative of either an attraction or land.
They are fairly crudely put together, but where else can you get the music from lancelots Carousel, or Alice's Curious labyrinth?
Oddly, I was listening to the Frontierland CD in the car yesterday and was really enjoying it! Must be the cowboy in me!!!
I bought these CD's on Ebay and I think that they came from Holland. I would suggest that you scan Ebay for a while as they may still be offered there. Maybe, the person who was selling this may even see this post!
Good luck with the search! There is something out there.

Indeed, I really wish they'd release CDs just for Disney ride/area music. I'd like all the Space Mountain tracks from the various versions on a CD.

I've been looking for the same but think I'm going to end up making my own from free download copies and selected tracks from iTunes. There's this one from US parks, don't know if its the same as Paris as not had chance to preview tracks yet...
