Whenever I go to a land in either park, I like to listen to a specific song that I like to tie in with that land.
Examples include
Space Oddity (by David Bowe) in Discoveryland
Apache (by The Shadows) in Frontierland
Twilight Zone theme in Production Courtyard
Do any of you do this, or am I the only one?
Shouldn't be listening to the Twilight Zone Theme in Production Courtyard, that's where Tower of Terror is!

Whoops, my bad, I meant the production courtyard
Yeah, I like to listen to the area loop in Tower of Terror Lobby, just sets the scene of a hotel that has been closed for 75 years but is still operational but the echoing shows that something is wrong.

Well in a lot of ways the tower of terror is scarier than phantom manor.
Definitely, saying that, the Phantom Manor needs a "Scary" update for the Halloween Season this year or any year! after all, there is someone still inside the Manor like the Tower of Terror. Say, wouldn't that be good if the Tower of Terror had an effect of some room lights flickering on and off or like the Bride and the Chandelier effect in the Manor?
You mean in the library?

I'll say its bloody scarier, I don't want to go on Tower of Terror again since being traumatized by it last year. And I don't mean the effects/story... its the dropping. I found out that rides like that aren't for me! lol Only went on because friends dragged me on it...
Okay that's not what this thread is about; in response to your question... no I don't, but I don't go often enough to start listening to songs while wandering about. Otherwise, perhaps it would be cool to try. Anyone ever played the Vincent Price spiel when in the Manor's stretching room?

As long as it isn't a TNBC take-over like the Mansion at DLR... seriously, no. Not the Manor. I don't mind updates, but if the Mansions recent updates are anything to go by, they'll probably 'de-scary-fy' the Manor. Which will not be good... and I don't want a interactive queue either... unless its subtle like the originally proposed carriage house. But nothing that ruins the atmosphere.

Nah the Carriage house needs to be built, it'll be great really.

Maybe, but I was thinking the exterior of the hotel, after all the power grid is overpowered by strange activity and technically the hotel has brought itself back to life.

That's what I said, lol. I don't mind the carriage house idea... just nothing like what WDW has outside the Mansion, thanks!
I've thought about listening to the Vincent price audio, but I'd rather listen to apache ;D

Eh, I might put the Price audio on my phone so I can try it out next time I'm there; which unfortunately I don't think will be this year... what a bother.

No, you can find the entire foyer/stretching room/gallery spiel on a soundtrack recording. Did you eventually get the link? If not I can link to it here.

There's still yet another recording I've heard of Phantom Manor (not Price's audio though), that was the most accurate and detailed I've heard. Unfortunately I've only ever heard it on one ride video tribute... I have no idea where they found it.
I have a fan made Phantom Manor compilation, I think it was made by Strange and Frightening sounds. I believe it'd be ok to be shared among fans, just as long as it's not used for money making reasons. It has the old Vincent Price audio track, plus the current one, each scene's music and special effects among others. If anyone's interested, let me know by PM.

Does it include absolutely every sound effect? I'm searching for a particular audio that even has effects that are difficult to hear when riding the Manor.
Actually now that I think about it... I don't think even the one I've been mentioning had the ghost train sound effect heard as you enter Phantom Canyon... hmmm.

It's actually a great compilation, the french ride-through, in particular, is the next best thing after the actual ride! Everytime I listen to it, I close my eyes and I imagine I'm in one of the doombuggies! Lol!
