Title: Adventureland rythms of the jungle
Post by: haribosmum on January 24, 2014, 11:30:20 AM
Just looking at the latest park timetable (25/1 - 31/1) and noticed under the character meets is "Adventureland rythms of the jungle" near to Hakuna Matata and there from 11:00 - 13:00.

What is this one?  Is it the drummers?  I've not noticed it on the timetable before so wondered if something new.

They had this in Sept 2012 when I went and it was lovely. They had the African drummers wearing their traditional tribal outfits and there was also a meet and greet under the canopy next to them with Baloo and King Louis. Definitely worth a look if it's on when you're there.  :)

The drummers often do a performance in Colonel Haithis too, which is very enjoyable while eating in there.  On one occasion they invited kids up for a little drumming lesson, I have fab photos of my then 3 year old DD playing the drums, with a lovely smile on her face.

The characters swapped between Louie and Baloo and Timon and Rafiki. Although when I visited in 2012 it was Louie on his own.

Is it still on now? It wasn't when we visited last summer. I think it ended the week before.

I think it might be in connection with the queue lines they have brought in - the meet & greet rhythm of the jungle, and the meet & greet on the central plaza... Those seemed to be the places they are trying out the queue lines (just hope they keep them in place!!).
Can anyone clarify?
