Title: Disney Dreams Best Spot To View
Post by: loulou169 on January 16, 2014, 08:04:24 AM
Hi everyone!

I'm just wondering if anyone has a preference with where they stand to view Disney Dreams. I've been on Main St next to Casey's corner (awful view as I'm too short!) and right at the front! The front was good but you get neck cramp in the end because of the angle! Any suggestions would be brilliant  :D

Entrance to Adventureland at the side of the castle, you'll see it all (apart from the french speaking Wendy) and the fireworks are even more spectacular here.

Very uncrowded here too, scroll down past the Cars parade and I've got some vine videos of your view https://vine.co/u/1033438053941104640 (no zoom used)

Is the light ears still a feature of dreams?

Yes the light ears are still part of Dreams. They are pricey though 30 Euros and we didnt think they were worth the price. They are on sale in various shops around the park and also in the hour before Dreams cast members are around Main street selling them from carts. It looks lovely to see all the ears light up but at that price Disney are making a big profit and they know it as they really push the selling of them.

Just €20 but still quite expensive.

I'm going up buy them at the disneystore here over the next couple of months before I go so I don't feel like I've spent half my euros just buying them!! My kids will probably be annoyed wearing them but they do look cool!!  8)

On my last visit in November my partner took our son to see Dreams when I wasn't well and he got there 5 mins before it started. They stood in front of the fountain outside Plaza Gardens Restaurant. Although my partner is 6ft 2 he couldn't stand for the length of Dreams with our son on his shoulders so he stood him on the fountain edge. Jack is only 3ft 7in and they both said they had an amazing uninstructed view. My partner said this is the best place to stand and no-one seems to stand there! He has seen Dreams 5 times in different locations and said this was the best.

Not mad at all - we are seeing it Mon, Tues and Wed when we go (and if it hadn't been for dinner at Cafe Mickey on the Thursday, we would have seen it then too....!!  ;D )
I think we will go for the Plaza Gardens view too on the first night - as we are having dinner at Plaza Gardens just before... Will take photos from each view - will post, when we get back, so you can have a look before you go.  ;)

Ah thank you Oialykke for your comment, I cant wait to see your photos! Its nice to hear peoples view on this as at some point everyone has tried at least one spot and loved it. People adding their photos from their fav position would be brilliant to see. This is mine from the very front! (Hope you can see it!)  ;D

We've "only" got 50 days to go from today!! So excited! The time since we booked in November has flown by - and now it's only 1½ month away! I can't wait!!

It helps that I don't mind waiting to get a good spot. Yesterday I tried to get dead central so stood just to the left of the via roped off bit right at the front. Great view, oddly there weren't the fountains that get protected onto?!?
Tonight I pitched my spot on the first corner of the roped off bit (adventure land side), great view and all you miss is Wendy.
Where shall I stand tomorrow...

Ooo decisions, decisions! Lol I've read that plaza gardens fountains is a good spot! Oh and I was listening to one of Dedicated to Disney podcast and her mentioned the entrance to adventureland and another one when he interviewed the fella who set up dreams! I'll have another listen and let you know x
