Disney Characters' Express
Petit Train des Personnages Disney
From 1st April 2007.

For the 15th Anniversary Celebration (//http://www.photosmagiques.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=541).

Main Street is brought to life each morning as Casey Jr. steams into town carrying the most famous Disney characters!

The morning cavalcade will be performed about 4 times each day with around 14 characters (not including Mickey and Minnie). It will travel up Main Street USA, around Central Plaza and then return to Town Square, stopping 4 times during its journey for guest interaction.

The old Dumbo float of The Wonderful World of Disney Parade will be repainted and redesigned in 15th Anniversary colours. The music choice has yet to be confirmed.

That works brilliantly!! Very striking with the blue, white and gold. I wonder how many really unusual characters we'll get to see on this? :?

The music's from "Disney's Party Express" from Tokyo a few years ago, but with totally re-written lyrics. This song is also used in Hong Kong for their rainy day parade.

I watched the Disney Express movie with Robert a few moments ago. He was a bt concerned that Casey couldnt see where he was going! (Notice that the re paint didnt fool Robert! But then again the poor child has been brain washed with Disney for the last four years, so he probably would pick up on that!)

He was chuffed to see Woody n Jess. D'you think they'll change the characters every day?

Greetings from in-side the magic...

It will run from main street all the down to central plazza next to the castle 4 times a day starting about 10am it will have charactors on and music will play and the charactors wil be changed so look out for differnt ones every day but mickey the boss and minnie will not be on it .. will be fun enjoy

Ooooh I love the music! If someone had said "it's from Tokyo", I'd probably have screamed and feared a Happy-Happy-Halloween soundtrack like the Stitch Cavalcade... but this, is very very nice. Great choice and rework by Vasile Sirli, I bet. :wink:

I have to say, the character express does at least as much as anything i've seen to create a party atmosphere, it may not be as extravagant as the main parade but u can hear the music from all over and anywhere near MSUSA - it really does get everyone in the mood for fun - just watch everyone moving their arms in a train style motion :D

Hey, great vids. I didn't know a version of the "Proudlights" music from BougIllumination was used in Alpha-Bet-You-Are too. It suits it, although the overall soundtrack to the event is a bit muddled. Can't tell if I like it or not actually :roll:

I'd love to get the lyrics down sometime, if anyone can help then let me know! About all I can hear are lines like "Tous en train" and "En route au coeur du magie.." :)

My French isn't perfect, but I can normally understand most songs and words, but I think the singers were on some sort of hellium when recording this, as I its so fast and unauidible in most places. All the Express cast got a print out for the play-back on the train, and I've asked it to be e-mailed to me by a friend, so it'll all become clear soon.

I was listening the other day in the park and loads of english people were singing "It's So Fun" instead of the correct "Tous en train" which I thought was amusing, but I can understand where they are coming from.

I saw it last time twice a day, but the second time only when I walked along there to leave the park...
I had the impression that there are the same characters...but I can't proof it, cause I am not sure.

Yes, they do change slightly - with each performance and each day. The video I posted above is an edit of two performances, and so you can see different characters on the "outward" and "inward" journeys. :wink:

To be honest, the character express does as much to liven the park up as any single thing i've seen, u just hear the music and u cant stop yourself - it's an extremely clever use of cast members - and really gets everyone in the Disney mood

I just watched the Character-Express-Video on dlrp.com/today and there the characters didn't step off the train to make photos with the guests. Or is this happening on Central Plaza?? And how long is this break?

It happens when the train reaches Central Plaza, they run off to those Lumiere locations for about 15-20 minutes. The entire thing from when it enters the park to when it leaves lasts 30 minutes, the standard time Disney characters are allowed to be in-park for.

I decided not to film the meet 'n' greets because it's a bit chaotic.. :wink:

Have you seen the "chaotic" meet'n'greets? Or have you taken pictures of it? Are the Lumière locations those 15-background-walls? How many of them are there? And what about the princesses - won't they be anymore on Central Plaza?

Got back from Disneyland on Sunday, had the most amazing time, and the character express really sums up our experiences there. We keep humming the tune and choo chooing our way up the street. Does anybody know if they're going to release the music at all? I must have it on my ipod to annoy passers by with!

:) I loved this Parade. :lol: But the chaos that followed when the characters got off the train was scary. :P I managed to get my pic took with Stitch, Timon and Captain Hook, which is definatly better than nothing.

A cd has not been released with this music, I doubt there will be one really, dlrp never seem to release a large range of cd's for some reason.

I loved the Disney Characters' Express!! It has a much catchier tune than the Once Upon a Dream Parade!! I love the parades with a dance you can learn too!!! even if I do look like an idiot doing it and some 5year old looks at me like Im crazy...that just makes it funnier :lol: !! Its been in my head for the past few weeks since Ive come back...I really wish it had been available to buy there too!!

I absolutely love it! The music is unbeleivably catchy, and its great to see so many characters. Brings a great atmosphere to main street (not that it hasn't got a great atmos anyway...)

Must of seen it about 5 times over my trip hehe Knew the dance moves by the end. :)

oh we hated it, we went to DLRP without knowing much about the 15 anniv celebrations, and we were happily shopping in main street when the loud music caught our attention, and we stopped shopping just to see if it was a parade and it was this little train with lots of the less-wanted and less-recognisable characters (the tweedle-can't-even-spell-the-name twins from alice, friar tuck or whatever from robin hood and some others). each time the train appeared we would go out hoping to see new characters, or the main ones at least, but i don't know, ... we weren't lucky at all! always the same characters! i can see many have seen goofy, pluto, pinocchio, but we didn't see them! we were hoping to see mickey and minnie but no luck!

the funny thing is that there were some song of the south characters and it seemed that i was the only one who knew who they were :roll:

we hated it :P

That's really strange - when I went last September we saw Goofy, Pluto, Donald and Daisy, Eeyore, Tigger, Pinocchio and Gepetto, Chip and Dale, Timon and loads more really popular characters... all on the Character's Express!! I really think it just depends on the luck of the draw, cos the characters change every time the train comes out! You must have just been extremely unlucky :)

When we went in October we saw Eeyore, Tigger, Smee, Captain Hook, Gepetto, Pinocchio and Rafiki on the Character Express. I thought it was a pretty good selection of characters. In general, we saw a lot more characters around the park than we had seen on our trips to WDW - not sure if that was because of the 15th celebrations, but it was really nice to see so many.

Disneyland Paris has always been the resort with the most characters on property. And during the 15th Anniversary there are even more characters out.

completly agreeing with you Rain. WDW seems to only let characters out early in the morning when im still sleeping :D
I think Character Express is a really good way for young children to meet there fav disney charcaters and I would like to see more of it in other parks around the world

I love the Character Express I have already visited twice during the 15th celebrations and go again next week. However the only thing I would complain about is that there is very little variety of characters, pretty much the same 'lot' most of the time and some of the characters I often wonder why they were chosen specifically when they aren't main characters should as the Sherif from Robhin Hood and Friar Tuck, the bear from Song of the South and recently I have seen an addition of random monkey's alongside King Louis :| . However I will agree it's a great meet and greet opportunity for everyone even if it is chaotic. I have met Rafki, Buzz, Stitch, Tigger, Frolo and Koda from the train alone! =D>

I suggest that they repaint the train after the Fifteenth Anniversary That Never Ends finally climaxes in March of '09, and still have the express every day, plus have holiday motifs for Halloween and Christmas (Orange splatters for Halloween and Christmas decor in November and December).

I've also met som great characters such as Genie, Pinocchio, Smee and Buzz. I absolutely love the Character Express and nothing makes me feel more like I'm in DLRP as when I suddenly hear the train on the speakers and the song begins. I get all giddy and start jumping up and down! It's the thing I'm looking most forward to when I go to dlrp again!

Every single time l saw Stitch or Timon on the train! Those were my faves, l'll miss it when it goes. But that goes for most of the celebration stuff

Thats a good idea, and it fits.

It's strange to think that the 15th celebrations finnish this weekend. they've been around for what feels like forever and now they're just gonna end. Are they going to have like a closing ceremony.
