This is cool and all... but I'm disappointed that Wreck-it Ralph got nothing at DLRP... and Frozen is getting stuff straight away. I'm sure Frozen will be a great movie... but Wreck-it Ralph was so awesome... more than awesome; it was turbo-tastic. Obviously Frozen is the best choice for the Christmas season here; but it just bothers me that they did nothing for WiR at all. No characters, nothing.
Thanks for the info though! Too bad I won't be able to visit during the holiday season.
The artwork/brochures coming out look fantastic, they're definitely pushing harder this year for Xmas!

Wreck it Ralph would be such a good addition to studios

Agreed! That park needs more, even with the new ride opening next year... its still a pretty small theme park. Wreck-it Ralph would be a welcome addition.

While wreck it ralph was a great film, frozen has the potential to be better than all of the non-Pixar modern Disney animated films, so i would prefer more frozen than w-i-r.

I personally would prefer Wreck-it Ralph over Frozen, I'm definitely interested in watching Frozen, the movie looks beautiful... but Wreck-it Ralph has become my favourite Disney movie now. Really hope it gets something in DLRP at some point.
Can't wait for the Christmas season to begin, very much looking forward to Disney Dreams of Christmas, a little sad that Mickey's Winter Wonderland won't be returning, that was a favourite of mine.
I feel the same, I love that show and know my son would have really enjoyed it. It is a shame as the addition of this would have made Christmas season for me. I think it wouldn't have needed anything else to make it a complete programme of events.
I'm really sad that Mickey's Winter Wonderland isn't returning, we really loved that show and my 2 youngest have never seen a show at DLP as they have stopped them all ::) , for all I love DLP I really wish they would bring back the shows at the Chaparral Theatre and in Videopolis.
I am really looking forward to the Christmas version of Dreams though, best take the kids to see Frozen when it comes out so they know who the characters are.
First photos of the Christmas Cavalcade!

The incredibles just randomly appearing with a Xmas hat made me laugh a bit too much :p
It looks great. One thing that really strikes me with this cavalcade is the amount of performers between floats. There is no 'dead space'. It's great for the guests, and the flow of the parade.
And as usual, fantastic photos Davy. :)
It looks great can't wait to see if for myself.

It looks really good, i love the Frozen float. :D
The floats are getting more and more beautiful!
Is Duffy going to be making an appearance this year can't wait 4 days to go
I love the quality of the improvements! Great stuff, although I don't like how much white is on the opening float - makes it seem really plastic and cheap. Especially the white ribbon around the tree.
Does anyone know if they still have a Castle lighting ceremony? I didn't see anything on the program (or maybe I just missed it...)
They do. It is now called Magical Christmas Wishes and is brand new, and much better than before :)
I thought the Magical Christmas Wishes was the tree lighting! Or does it apply to both? (hmmm that explains why it's on at 2 different times per evening on this week's program...)
You are right, I didn't read the first post properly - sorry! No Castle Lighting Ceremony.
I got it all wrong - there is one! But it's not on the programme - strange. Here it is:
Judging by the commentary at the end of the video clip it looks like this precedes the Disney Dreams of Christmas show. This would explain why it's not advertised in the programme and it would explain why there are so many people gathered round the castle. I think it's a lovely little extra before the show. I'm so excited now as everything looks sooo amazing this year ;D
When it's just before DDoC, it doesn't get announced, it sort of just happens, music goes up as do the lights and BAM.
I saw it on Monday and it was announced before it started which was about 15 minutes prior to Dreams of Christmas.
Can anyone tell me if the characters from Frozen actually available for meet & greet anywhere or just in the parade? We go 2wks today and if we can get autographs etc I will make extra effort to take the children to see the film before we go.
No, they were on the float only when I went two weeks ago so no meet and greet I'm afraid.

Thanks, I'd got it in my head they would be walking around and available for photos etc, but it might just have been the translation in the original announcement about the Christmas season,
Here's a video off a French tv channel, of behind the xmas season.
I was most excited about seeing that most of the Fantillusion floats are still in one piece!!

Nice find Festival Disney, hopes look high...
How interesting :D
That video is fantastic. I think this Christmas Season has been fantastic and I love the enhanced Christmas Cavalcade. Look forward to seeing it bigger and better next year!
