Title: Guests with mobility aids...advice needed please.
Post by: Ravenseye on September 09, 2013, 06:15:03 PM
Firstly, my apologies if this subject already exists somewhere.

Your advice is needed  (http://91.186.15.79/~disfor/Smileys/akyhne/smiley.gif)
What are your experiences with ride access in the Parks?
My partner uses crutches permanently and wears a leg brace on one leg. I was trying to explain that some rides are 'deep' to step into and out of.
This made me wonder if anyone here had advice on this matter.
I would also love to know what guests did with their crutches when they rode?(http://91.186.15.79/~disfor/Smileys/akyhne/huh.gif)
Did you hire a wheelchair? Is there space to leave it near the exit of a ride? We wondered if we could somehow attach the crutches to a wheelchair while he rode.

I would be very grateful for some enlightenment  (http://91.186.15.79/~disfor/Smileys/akyhne/grin.gif)

I have a stick and either kept it between my legs or left it on my wee boys pushchair if there wasn't a big queue.

Thank you for that. I guess we will just have to guage how it is once there. The crutches are invaluable, I was just worried in case some one thought it'd be funny to make off with them.
